Tressie D. Reber, 92, of Jonestown, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at StoneRidge Towne Centre, Myerstown.

Born in Bethel on March 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Cora Dove Ritchie.

Tressie attended the Sharon Mennonite Fellowship. For years, she worked as a caretaker for many area homes and individuals.

She is survived by her sons, Melvin C. Reber, of Lebanon, and Myron E. Reber, of Reading; daughters, Brenda J. Huff, of Havelock, NC, and Glenda J., wife of Brian Getz, of Summerville, SC; brothers, Thomas Ritchie, of Frystown, and John Ritchie, of Bethel; four grandchildren, Thomas Patches Jr., Katoora (Michael) Rohrer, Troy Getz, and Kyle (Christie) Getz; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Claude, Luke, Paul, Ray, Curtis, and Roy “Butch” Ritchie; and sisters, Edith Dunham, Betty Lineweaver, Goldie Whitman, Mary Smith, Grace Stonesifer, and Alta Strausser.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Meckville Mennonite Church, 1020 Meckville Road, Bethel. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown, and prior to the service on Friday. Interment will follow at the Meckville Mennonite Church Cemetery.
