Vernon M. Wolfe, Sr., 86, of Myerstown, died Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Hershey Medical Center.

He was the husband of Adaline M. (Boltz) Wolfe. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on September 16, 2020. Born in Myerstown on July 30, 1934, Vernon was the son of the late Morris and Mary A. (Brown) Wolf. A 1952 graduate of Newmanstown High School, Vernon retired after 35 years as a Sterile Technician for Bayer Corporation. After retiring from Bayer, he worked for Manheim Auto Auction, retiring after 20 years. Vernon was a member of Myerstown UCC and Myerstown Rod & Gun Club.

He was known for giving great big hugs and always put forth his best effort at any task. He excelled at making French fries and BBQ chicken. Vernon was a colorful storyteller, and enjoyed trap shooting, shotgun shell reloading, classic country music, old westerns, vintage comedy, watching the news, tinkering & fixing things around the house, and spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife, Vernon is survived by a daughter, Melinda Bish & her fiancé Steven Montgomery; sons, Vernon M. Wolfe, Jr., husband of Deborah, & Terence Wolfe, husband of Teresa; grandchildren, Victoria & her fiancé Ryan, Samantha & her fiancé Bryan, Stephanie, wife of Jordan, and Christine; great-grandchildren, Jaden, Kyla, Alfredo, Arianna, Sophia, & Julian; and a sister, Fern Blatt.

He was preceded in death by a son, Randell Wolfe, and sister, Ellen Goodyear.

Funeral Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Grose Funeral Home, Inc., Myerstown were entrusted with the arrangements.
