Violet E. Peirce, 103, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at Spang Crest Manor. She was the wife of the late Herman F. Peirce.

Born in New Bunker Hill on Dec. 1, 1919, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Ellen (Martin) Bean.

She graduated from Jonestown High School with the class of 1936. She loved the Lord from her youth. Throughout her life, she was active in church work, trying to do her part in helping to build the kingdom of God. She was a member of Living Waters Chapel in Lebanon.

She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Wolfe, of The Villages, FL; a son, David, husband of Sandra (Young) Peirce, of Lebanon; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Rosa, wife of Walter Bernheisel, Rebecca, wife of Rev. Irwin Kline, Emma Bean, Anna, wife of Rev Earl Troup, and Esther, wife of Rev. Burton Lange; brothers, Rev. William, husband of Mildred (Ziegler) Bean, Rev. Charles, husband of Margaret (Darkes) Bean, and Theodore Bean; and a grandson, Todd Wolfe.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Living Waters Chapel, 1900 Jay St., Lebanon, PA 17046. The viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Bunker Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Living Waters Chapel Youth Group in memory of Violet.
