Vivian Helen Tucker, 91, went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. She was the wife of James R. Tucker, who passed away in January 1960.
Vivian was born on Sept. 3, 1931, the daughter of Russell F. and Helen V. (Miller) Heilman.
She was a proud 49er graduate of Lebanon High School, going to all her class reunions. Some of her part-time jobs while her children were young were at Royer’s Flowers and as a teacher’s aid at Annville Elementary School. She retired from Boscov’s after 25 years of service.
Vivian is best known for her fabulous family holiday meals and being the main chef at her church’s dinner functions. She spent many devoted and loving hours in service to her church, family visiting, preparing meals, and preparing the church for special events.
She enjoyed going to the beach and mountains with family and to her cottage at Lake Strauss. Her great joy was her grandchildren being faithful and loving to all of them. She especially liked going to her grandson’s football games from ponies to college.
She was a lifetime member of Hill Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard James, brothers, Russell (Bosh) and David Heilman, and sisters-in-law, Mary (Daisy) and Kathryn.
Vivian is survived by her sons, Thomas H. spouse of Susan (Lehman), Jeffrey L. spouse of Kathy (Muphy), daughter, Susan spouse of Edward Higgins, six grandchildren, Janelle, Jarad, Lisa, Laura, Dana, and Samantha, nine great-grandchildren, brother, Frank and spouse Joan Heilman, sister, Rachel and spouse Richard Hoffman, and many nieces and nephews.
