Waldemar Acevedo, 83, was a resident of Lebanon and husband to Luz M. Acevedo. He was born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, where he will once again return to be reunited with his parents, Juan Acevedo and María Matos.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Waldemar began to work in the dry cleaning business in New York and retired from Hershey over 50 years later. In his retirement, he enjoyed tending to his yard and spending time with his pets, Puma and Gizmo, watching television. He was a great son, husband, father, brother, friend, and a devoted Catholic all his life who worked in the “Cursillos de Cristiandad” for many years.
Waldemar is survived by his sister, Teresita Acevedo; brother, José Luis Acevedo; children, Wanda, Waldemar, Edward, and Juan; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, even if they die, will live. And whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” – John 11:25
