Walter Edward “Ed” Shirey, III, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, at his residence. He was the husband of Carterina “Cat” (Gentile) Shirey, with whom he celebrated 30 years.

Ed was born in Lebanon on September 3, 1955, to Walter E. Shirey Jr., and Margaret (Arndt) Shirey of Lebanon.

He had worked in the textile industry. He enjoyed weightlifting, working with computers, and was very instrumental. He was a drummer in a few different bands.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Christopher Wes Shirey and wife Tanya, Jordan Michael Shirey, Jesse Dian, grandchildren, Alexis, Alyssa, Bria, Addelynn, Wesley, Mackenzie, Mikayla, David, and his sisters, Donna Mickey and husband Frank, and Debbie Swisher and husband Rick.

He was preceded in death by his son, Walter E. Shirey, IV.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 3 PM from Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be private. There will be a visitation from 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM, at the funeral home with services to begin at 3 PM.
