Walter G. Menzel, Jr., 74, of Lebanon passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at his home. He was the husband of Cherie A. (Matters) Menzel. They would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on December 24th.

Born in Lebanon on February 12, 1948, he was the son of the late Walter G. Menzel, Sr. and Eva (Klahr) Menzel.

Walter worked as a steel worker for Bethlehem Steel in Cornwall, Annville, and Steelton. He was a member of Cornwall Miners. He enjoyed gardening, model trains, riding his tractor, and driving his truck.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Bradley W. husband of Vicki Menzel of Lebanon, Brian A. husband of Annelie Menzel of Jonestown, Brett T. Menzel of Lebanon, and Hope C. wife of David Leonard of Lebanon; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and sister Vivian Strohm of Annville.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the funeral.
