Walton E. Harrold, 87, of Jonestown, formerly of Spring Grove, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at his home. He was the husband of Mary A. Wales Harrold. On Sept. 13, they would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.

Born in Spring Grove on March 26, 1937, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Lizzie R. Boehler Harrold.

Walton graduated from Temple University, and he retired from American Argo Manufacturing as the Director of Quality Control. He was a member of the Congregational Church of Christ in McKeansburg. He was an excellent trap shooter and won many awards. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Walton E. Jr., and his wife, Bonnie, of New Enterprise; his daughter, Sandra L. Krum, of Jonestown; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
