Warren K.A. Thompson, 89, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Ann (Strand) Thompson, to whom he was married for 59 years.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of the late Andrew and Emma (Savage) Thompson.
Warren graduated with his master’s degree in philosophy and taught for over 35 years at Lebanon Valley College. He was a train enthusiast, enjoyed watching Division 3 basketball, and was an avid reader of books on World War II, the Holocaust, politics, and murder mysteries. Warren and Ann enjoyed traveling to Bethany Beach and spending time with family.
In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by his daughter, Sarah, wife of Robert Smith; and grandson, Dylan Smith.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, at 5 p.m. from Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Inurnment will be private. There will be no viewing or visitation prior to the service at the funeral home. Warren’s request was for those wishing to attend, please dress casually.
