Wassil Snitzer, 89, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Kathleen M. (Arnold) Snitzer.
Born in Shenandoah, PA on Sept. 1, 1931, Wassil was a son of the late Joseph and Helen Snitzer. He worked for 25 years at the Bayer Corp. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church. He liked to bake and enjoyed reading his bible, antique cars, and playing checkers with his wife. He loved his dogs and was an avid New York Mets fan.
In addition to his wife, Wassil is survived by a sister, Rose Hoppe, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Snitzer, and five sisters, Ann, Olga, Tess, Julia, and Mary.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 at St. Mary’s Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon. Interment with full military honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Wassil’s name may be made to St. Mary’s Church at the above address.
