Wilbur C. “Buzz” Holmes III, 77, of Quarryville, PA, died on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, at Myerstown Nursing and Rehab, Myerstown, PA. He was the widower of Carol A. (Border) Holmes, who died in 2014.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, on Sept. 11, 1948, he was the son of the late Ellen Irene and Wilbur C. Holmes Jr. Buzz was a 1966 graduate of McCaskey High School. Mr. Holmes served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He retired as a manager from National Bearings Co., Lancaster, PA. Buzz enjoyed fishing, going out to eat, and especially his Shih Tzu puppies, “Baby,” and the late “Dudley.”
He was the last member of his immediate family. Buzz is survived by friends and extended family.
Services are private. Grose Funeral Home Inc., Myerstown, was entrusted with his arrangements.
