William “Bill” Fitterer Jr., 83, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026, surrounded by his family at home. He was the husband of Dianne M. (Fessler) Fitterer, with whom he celebrated nearly 30 years of marriage.
Bill was born in Hershey on Nov. 10, 1942, to the late William Fitterer Sr. and Dorothy (Shroyer) Fitterer. He was employed as a machinist and general manager at A&H Industries. Bill was a member of Community Bible Church. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, camping, fishing, and gardening. In his younger years, he assisted his parents in planting and maintaining the fields on their small farm, growing vegetables and fruits to sell on the side of the road. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his sons, William A. “Will” Fitterer, and his wife, Christy, of Palmyra, Jason A. Fitterer, and his wife, Angela, of Hershey, Kyle M. Stover, and his wife, Dawn, of Gaines, and Dustin T. Stover, and his wife, Kathy, of Annville; grandchildren, MayaRose, Kiva, Anthony, Thomas, Shailyn, Ty, Gideon, Maryann, Desirre, Edward, and Johnathan; great-grandchildren, Brennan, Gannon, Lane, and Paisley; brother, Arthur Fitterer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Clougher.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 30. Visitation at 10 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. at his church, 1849 S. Forge Road, Palmyra, PA 17078. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to his church, address listed above.
