William C. Englebach, 96, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Tong (Min) U. Englebach. Born in Lebanon, PA, on July 21, 1929, William was a son of the late Charles and Sara (Lengle) Englebach.

William was a man defined by his unwavering kindness and lifelong dedication to his community. He was known for his gentle spirit and hardworking nature. William was a respected pillar of the neighborhood who left a lasting mark on everyone he met.

A proud veteran, William honorably served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. His commitment to service extended to his civilian life, where he mentored local youth as a dedicated Boy Scout pack leader, instilling values of integrity and leadership in the next generation.

William’s work ethic was proven in his 20 years of service as maintenance supervisor at Spurs Park. Following his retirement, he spent another 18 years as a familiar, smiling face as a Walmart greeter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Roy Englebach; beautiful granddaughter, Naomi; and sister, Beth. William proved that a life of kindness and service is a life well lived. He will be missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.

Viewing hours will be on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Internment with full military honors to follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
