William D. Rothermel, Jr., 67, of Lincoln, DE passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Bay Health Medical Center in Milford, DE. He was the husband of Bonnie M. (Kleinfelter) Rothermel, to whom he was married 33 years.

Born in Lebanon, PA on May 14, 1952, William was a son of the late William Sr. and Margaret (Brensinger) Rothermel. He was a 1972 graduate of Lebanon High School and was employed for 26 years at Lebanon Valley College. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lori and Kim Rothermel; four grandchildren, Tania, Kierra, Kendall, and Christopher; a sister, Stephanie Gawrys, wife of Paul; a niece, Antonya Fox, wife of Keith and their daughter Emma, and a nephew, Michael Gawrys, husband of Marissa and their children Ella and Wyatt. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Coleman Beatly.

Funeral services will be held privately. Interment will be at Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in William’s name may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 North Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
