William E. “Bill” Detwiler, 91, of Myerstown, died on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, at his residence. He was the husband of Helene E. Detwiler, who died on Aug. 28, 2013.
Born in Worcester, PA, on March 12, 1934, Bill was a son of the late Linnaeus Allebach and Mary (Kriebel) Detwiler. A graduate of Norristown High School, he served in the U.S. Army. He was a lifelong grain farmer. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and was a NASCAR racing fan.
Bill is survived by his son, Carl Detwiler, of Myerstown; and nieces, Pamela Costanzo and Marsha Griffith. He was preceded in death by his sister, Grace Griffith.
Services and interment are private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to WellSpan VNA/Hospice, 1503 Quentin Road, Lebanon, PA 17042. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
