William Hadesty Miller passed away peacefully on Oct. 14, 2024, at the age of 78, in Lebanon, PA.

Born on Dec. 27, 1945, in Pottsville, PA, Bill was a cherished member of the community, known for his caring nature, humor, and deep love for his family.

He was a graduate of Tamaqua High School (1963) and Mansfield University (1968), which laid the foundation for his impactful career in education.

Bill dedicated 36 years to educating young minds in Social Studies at Cedar Crest High School. His commitment to education was paralleled by his involvement in various community and fraternal organizations. He was an Eagle Scout as well as a member of the Tamaqua/Mahanoy City Lodge No 238 F&AM, the Valley of Allentown Scottish Rite, and the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. Outside his professional life, Bill was an avid traveler, exploring the world with his beloved wife, Paula. He also enjoyed gardening and geocaching and was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. Bill enjoyed sharing interesting articles he found online with friends and family, was always ready to engage in thoughtful discussions, and especially loved sending weekly riddles to his grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Paula Miller; daughter, Emily Del Viscio (husband, Michael); and grandchildren, Caitlin and Aaron Del Viscio.

Services will be held at Christman’s Funeral Home, 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042, on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024. Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a service at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
