William J. Meade, 74, of Spring Hill, FL, formerly of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. He was the husband of Linda Y. (Lewis) Meade. They were married 32 years.

Born in Lebanon, PA on March 23, 1947, he was the son of the late James N. and Alice E. (Pontz) Meade. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, boating, fishing, and traveling. William was a veteran of The United States Navy in Vietnam where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal (one bronze star), and the Navy Unit Commendation Medal. He was also a retired member of The Army National Guard and former member of The Air National Guard.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, William and his partner, Holly Hetrick and Jessica Zerman and her husband, Harry, six grandchildren, William, Malachi, Shyla, Zoe, Zara, and Zia, three brothers, Gene Meade and his wife, Donna, Gregory Meade, and Michael Pontz and his wife, Donna, two sisters, Linda Schneck and her husband, Michael, and Sister Susan Pontz, SSCM, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Ann Miller, and two brothers, James E. Meade and Allen D. Meade.

A one-hour visitation will be held on Friday, May 28^th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 South 9^th Street, Lebanon, PA 17042 with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
