William K. Watson, 82, of Annville, passed away on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at home. He was predeceased by his wife of over 58 years, June E. Watson.

Born in Lebanon, PA, on March 8, 1941, he was the son of the late William I. and Debra R. (Sullivan) Watson.

After graduating from Lebanon High School Class of 1959, Bill served in the Air Force and then attended Lebanon Valley College, earning a BA in History, and then attended the University of Oregon, earning an MA in Japanese History. He worked at the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission as a historian and placed many historic sites on the National Historic Register. Over the years, Bill also served on the Annville Township Planning Commission and was active with the Friends of Old Annville. Bill enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, painting, and sewing.

Surviving is a brother, Thomas G. Watson, husband of Kathleen A., of Lebanon; a niece, Lori Wright; a nephew, David Light; and a brother-law, Alvin Light, and wife, Sandy.

He was preceded in death by a niece, Anne Marie Light.

Interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
