William W. Umbrell Jr., 69, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital.

Born in Lebanon on August 21, 1953, he was the son of the late William W. and Anna May Moyer Umbrell.

He was a graduate of the Lower Dauphin High School Class of 1970. Following high school, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from the Highway Dept. for Cortland County, NY. Following retirement, he moved back to Lebanon County, and he then enjoyed working for Chocolate World. He was a NASCAR fan, and he enjoyed hunting and golfing. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and he loved his dog and best friend, Chaos.

He is survived by his daughters, Lorralei L., wife of James Hoerner, of Fredericksburg, and Trudi R. Umbrell, and her companion, Efrain Alicea III, of N. Cornwall; siblings, Donald Umbrell, of FL, Patsy Pheasant, of Grantville, Kenneth Umbrell, of Pittsburgh, and Cathy Schall, of Hanover; grandchildren, Brittny Davis, Saffon Alicea, and Madison Hoerner; and his great-grandchildren, Avalee, Loriana, Roman, and Nayeli.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery
