William Young, 89, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021, in StoneRidge Poplar Run, Myerstown, PA. He was the husband of Velvalee E. Sweigart Paine with whom he was married to for 18 years.

William was born in Motherwell, Scotland on May 22, 1931, a son of the late William and Agnes Jackson Young. He was employed as a mechanical engineer for GE and retired in 1976. He served in the British Armed Forces as a mechanical engineer. William was an avid golfer, cyclist, loved to swim, sail, travel, work out at the YMCA and was a true gentleman.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Elizabeth Kramer and husband Robert, of Philadelphia, PA, Bill Young, Jr., of Denver, CO, Fiona Young and husband Theodore Boinske, of Chester Co., PA, three grandsons, step daughter, Aimee Schmitt and husband Michael, of Cornwall, PA and three step-grandsons.
