Willie E. Carlisle, 77, of Jonestown, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at his home. He was the husband of Joanne P. (O’Neill) Carlisle. On Jan. 17, they celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.

Born in Millry, Alabama, on Sept. 26, 1947, he was the son of the late Willie and Opal (Nordan) Carlisle. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Willie retired from Hershey, where he was an electrician. He attended Jonestown Bible Church. He enjoyed competitive shooting, hunting, reading, and especially going camping with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Corey E., and his wife, Tara Carlisle, of Harrisburg; daughter, Astra L. Truax, of Lebanon; sister, Carol Jimmerson, of Alabama; grandchildren, Skylar Carlisle-Walsh (Peter), Ciara Baylor (Jaden), Gage Carlisle, Tora Truax, and Sydney Truax; and great-grandchildren, Jude Churchill and Everlee Baylor.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A procession will leave at 10 a.m. from Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Freedom Outdoor Adventures, 284 Number 7 Road, Carbondale, PA 18407.
