Twenty years ago, our community was shocked by the events of 9/11. We gathered on September 11th of 2002 for our very first Patriot Day Concert to unite our community, honor our first responders, and remember the patriotism that brought us together to recover from the devastation of the previous year. This would have been the 20th Patriot Day Concert hosted by the Lebanon Valley Chamber and performed by the Lebanon Community Concert Band.
Due to a number of COVID-related barriers, we are again unable to gather for a live concert, so we are broadcasting a ‘best of’ music recorded during previous 9/11 concerts. This compilation of music from past concerts is sure to get your feet tapping as the Lebanon Community Concert Band, under the direction of Timothy Erdman, replays a selection of patriotic music and vocal performances from incredibly talented artists who have performed with us in the past.
The public is invited listen to the concert on Saturday, September 11 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. on WiLBuR 1270. For those unable to listen with a radio, you can stream it online or stream in stereo online.
The concert is possible because of the generous support of Cornwall Manor, City of Lebanon, WellSpan Health, Lebanon Community Concert Band, Buzgon Davis Law Offices, Hershey-Palmyra Sertoma Club, and Lebanon Sertoma Club.
An audio recording of the concert will be available online after Sept. 11.
