Arthur Funk and Sons, Inc., Construction Services, is now accepting applications for the Henry Funk Memorial Scholarship now through April 1, 2021. The scholarship totals $2,000.00, and is open to high school seniors who have a desire to pursue an occupation in the Construction Trades, Construction-related or Construction Management fields.

According to Funk President Bob Funk, PE, LEED AP, speaking on behalf of the Executive Team of Dave and Ken Funk, the scholarship has been named in honor of their father Henry Funk, who is also the son of founder Arthur Funk. 

“Henry Funk was a steward of the community who believed in returning many of the gifts that he received in order to help others,” said Bob Funk. “His vision was always to provide high quality construction that reaches into the future as a lasting tribute to the company and to the community. This scholarship will continue his vision to assist others in achieving their own goals for the future.”

Eligibility for the scholarship is as follows:

  1. Senior High School Student at one of Lebanon County’s public or private schools or Lebanon County Career and Tech Center 
  2. Students must be planning to be enrolled in a trade school, community college or 4-year college or university
  3. Students must be majoring in a construction or construction related industry such as HVAC, Masonry, Carpentry, Welding, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.

Awards will be based on the quality of the student application as determined through a competitive scoring system that balances need with achievement. 

Applications are available at the Lebanon County High Schools Guidance Offices or online at www.funkconstruction.com. Completed applications can be emailed to bkauffman@funkconstruction.com.
