Compass Mark will be holding a webinar on Thursday, April 29 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This virtual presentation via Zoom will provide information on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), a group of conditions that can occur in a person whose mother drank alcohol during pregnancy. Although they are under-counted, they are more prevalent than Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy, spinal bifida, and congenital HIV/AIDS combined.
We will discuss the causes and effects of FASDs and dispel some current myths. Most importantly we will show that FASDs are 100% preventable!
This webinar offers beginner’s level information, and is appropriate for educators, social workers, caregivers (biological and foster/adoptive parents), public health professionals, and the public.
One (1) ACT 48 hour can be credited for those who require.
The cost of the presentation is free; however registration is required. Click here for more information or to register for the webinar.
