Making a Difference’s mission is to build lasting relationships throughout the Lebanon County community by providing connections to support the needs of youth, veterans, and the economically disadvantaged through educational opportunities, service projects, and community events.

Since our founding eight years ago, our team of volunteers has been committed to making a difference in Lebanon County. This is because we understand what Lebanon has offered to us and see what Lebanon has to offer your families and friends. Each of our programs are funded by donations and fundraising efforts. 100% of these efforts directly support Making a Difference in helping people right here in Lebanon County! We know that you care about the future of Lebanon County, too. With this in mind, we could use your help to continue strengthening and supporting our community in creating opportunities for youth, families, veterans, and our small towns. You can do this by financially supporting Making a Difference through a donation or joining our team of volunteers.

Currently, we make a difference by participating in community clean-ups, collection drives for those suffering from homelessness, and offering community meals that support our community members. We offer science camps, theatre camps, pizza making contests, and back-to-school events for our youth. Additionally, we hold a veteran’s breakfast and, over the holidays, create space for special family memories with Easter Egg hunts and festivals and community Christmas meals. This is all in addition to our many acts of kindness, just like you. Making a Difference is also proud to work alongside other local committees and organizations that are doing the necessary work to make a difference in Lebanon County. This includes Tennis in the Park and a family bike ride on the Lebanon County Rail Trail.

All of these efforts would be impossible without the help from our annual donors, sponsors, and supporters. This includes: Lebanon Federal Credit Union, Domino’s Pizza, First Citizens Community Bank, Dr. John Salahub, Jason Schibinger, and Jennifer Wentzel, Amvets Post 293, Tim McShane-Allstate, Jonestown Bank and Trust, Bambergers, Navy Club of Lebanon, Markus Aman and Carl Engfelke, Time to Think, LLC, Tom Turnbaugh, Fulton Bank, Bayer, and Shay Vending Services. Of course, none of this work is possible without our amazing board members and volunteers.
