Workforce availability is a challenge for many regional employers. The Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free luncheon for regional employers to explore alternative solutions for filling workforce needs.
The program will be held Tuesday, December 3, from 12:00 -1:30 pm at HACC, Lebanon Campus in the multipurpose room, 735 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
The agenda includes an introduction from John Wetzel, Secretary, Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and comments from Gene Barr, President & CEO of the PA Chamber of Business & Industry. Lebanon County employer, Terri Emler from Murry’s, Inc. will provide commentary from the employer’s point of view and a reentry Q&A panel will include Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Kelly Evans, Deputy Secretary, and Dorenda Hamarlund, Workforce Development Specialist.
Tina Litz, Deputy Warden of Treatment from the Lebanon County Correctional Facility, will discuss Lebanon County Jail’s work-release efforts.
Remarks will also be made by Sally Barry, Director of Lebanon County Probation Services. A successful reentrant story will be shared by Ernie Groff, I AM FIT owner and personal trainer, Sinking Springs and Temple, PA.
Finally, closing remarks will be made by W. Gerard “Jerry” Oleksiak, Secretary, PA Department of Labor and Industry.
A full lunch will be served.
