National Night Out (NNO) is an annual event celebrated by communities all throughout America to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie in an effort to make communities safer. NNO was started in 1984 by Matt Peskin of the National Association of Town Watches (NATW). Block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, various other community events are held in more than 16,000 communities across all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide, according to the NATW website.
On Tuesday, August 3, 2021, LFCU joined in with other organizations throughout the county to celebrate National Night Out in both Myerstown and Campbelltown. LFCU provided information about their products and services as well as some giveaways like frisbee’s, beach balls, and hand sanitizer.
LFCU’s Quality Bear helped bring life to National Night Out by interacting and saying hello to all the neighborhood kids in Myerstown!

What a great event to encourage community and business members to come together in effort to make communities safer.
