THE CENTER for Entrepreneurial Excellence, a free business resource for Lebanon County, is hosting the first-ever Entrepreneurial PITCH competition, titled “THE Great Lebanon County PITCH.” Entrepreneurs will have the chance to win seed money to start their dream business. The CENTER will award $8,000 in prize money to be divided by the winners to help kick start their business.

According to The CENTER chairperson Karen Groh, the PITCH has been in the works for the past year, with Covid playing a major role in the delay.

“We are back and have planned a series of free workshops and mentoring programs for entrepreneurs to develop and create a comprehensive business plan,”  said Groh. “Plus, through our sponsor contributions, we have even more prize money and plans that will culminate in a public event on November 17 to hear the pitches!”

The timeline for the event is:

  • September 8-October 6:  Starting your Own Business,  a 6-week virtual  class presented by SCORE
  • Other workshops will be held at this time.
  • October 1- Submit your intent to participate
  • November 1- Deadline to submit Business Plan
  • November 17- Presentations to a panel of judges, public is invited and more information to come

THE PITCH is open to any business in Lebanon County that is expanding or altering their business model, or entrepreneur(s) with an idea to create a new business located within Lebanon County.  There is no cost to participate and all the information and the application is on the web.

“The board of The CENTER is excited to bring The Great Lebanon County Pitch slated for November 17, 2021 to Lebanon County,” added Groh. “We are thankful for our investors in the PITCH and small business: Fulton Bank, Envision, Candoris and Community First Fund.”
