Don’t be left out in the cold, join hundreds of polar bears, cubs, and spectators at the 31st Annual Polar Bear Club Plunge! The plunge will be held at Wind in the Willows (35 Webster School Rd., Grantville, PA 17028) on January 1, 2021. Owners Aaron and Andrea Buchman welcome guests to the coolest party in town while raising money for Developmental & Disability Services (DDS) of Lebanon Valley, Inc.

Did you know that a group of polar bears is called a celebration? All are welcome to join the celebration by taking the plunge, supporting someone who is or by watching the hundreds of people who take the plunge. It’s a party of arctic proportions. Gates open at 10 a.m. for the pre-plunge party with live music. There is no fee to participate however donations are greatly appreciated. Premium Parking is available for Polar Bears who pre-register and raise funds through the Cold for Cause website, or for anyone who makes a $20 Donation in advance for a premium parking pass.

Polar Bears are encouraged to collect pledges from family, co-workers, and friends. Pledge forms are available at ColdForACause.org, DDSLebanon.org, and at the DDS-Alley Learning Center, 1126 Walnut St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Or call DDS to request a pledge packet mailed to you at 717-274-3493. Plungers can create a fundraising web page on our event website, ColdForACause.org or this direct link to encourage sponsors in real-time through the website.

We are setting a goal to raise $30,000 through the Cold for a Cause Campaign and the annual polar bear club plunge event. We are grateful to our sponsors for making this event possible! Sponsorship opportunities are still available.

  • Polar Bear Sponsor: First Citizens Community Bank
  • Papa Bears: Navy Club of Lebanon Ship #91
  • Cubs: Choice Communications

Anyone can visit the event website to make a donation and support the cold for a cause campaign. Plunge, sponsor someone who is, or simply donate. Together we will be able to raise important funds for the training and education of people with disabilities living in Lebanon County.
