Do you have a great idea for a business? The Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence and Lebanon Valley College have united to sponsor THE GREAT Lebanon County IDEA PITCH, Monday, May 3 through Friday, May 7. The online event will have daily sessions from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
According to Karen Groh, Chairman of The Center, the goal of the event is to have budding entrepreneurs present their business concept to a panel of coaches for feedback, direction and resources. Interested participants can visit TheCenterLebanon.org for details and to sign up.
“The Idea Pitch allows you to present in a casual and conversational setting for idea development, connection to resources, and more,” said Groh. “To kick-off our event on May 3, at 11:00 a.m., T.K. Coleman, a passionate voice of possibility with a life mission to help people reclaim a sense of personal power, will speak on putting plans into action.”
This event is open to anyone in Lebanon County including new or seasoned entrepreneurs. There is no cost to participate, and all ideas will remain confidential. The coaches will be comprised of experts in entrepreneurship including business professors, community leaders, and business mentors.
“Participants will sign up for a time slot from the selection of 9 available each day, for the week of May 3rd,” added Groh. “Each participant is slated 20 minutes to present ideas to the coaches in an informal, no-prep-work, confidential conversation. Bilingual options are available so please indicate this requirement when you sign up or email info@thecenterlebanon.org with your request.”
Groh emphasized that only coaches and presenters will be in the meeting with the exception of a few slots at 11:00 am on Wednesday and Friday where the LVC business class will listen in. These slots are noted as such in the sign-up page. For presenters without internet, The Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence has computers available at their location in the offices of the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce, 604 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
“The Idea Pitch is the precursor and a great way to practice for our GREAT Lebanon County PITCH slated for the Fall of 2021 when cash prizes will be awarded,” concluded Groh.
