Do you have a great idea for a business? The Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence is hosting monthly sessions of the Idea Sessions. Idea Sessions are available the first Monday of each month between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m.

According to Karen Groh, Chairman of THE CENTER board of directors, the event is open to anyone in Lebanon County including new or seasoned entrepreneurs. There is no cost to participate, and all ideas will remain confidential. The coaches are experts in entrepreneurship including business professors, community leaders, and business mentors.

“Participants will sign up for a 30-minute time slot to present ideas to the coaches in an informal, no-prep-work, confidential conversation,” said Groh. “Bilingual and evening options are available so please email with your request. If available slots fill up, extra slots can be created to accommodate a greater need or different day/time. In-person sessions may also be available upon request.”

During the first week of May 2020, THE CENTER hosted a week-long program of idea pitch sessions where coaches heard a variety of business ideas and provided expert coaching from professors, business mentors, and CENTER Board members. Because of the success of May’s sessions, THE CENTER Board of Directors decided to host this opportunity monthly, adding two 30-minute slots per month. The goal of these sessions is to have entrepreneurs present their business concept to a panel of coaches for feedback, direction and resources with the understanding that making this connection to resources could be critical to advancing business start-up ideas.

For presenters without internet access, THE CENTER for Entrepreneurial Excellence has computers available at their location in the offices of the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce, 604 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.

“We are excited to use this as a starting place for those interested in joining The Great Lebanon County Pitch slated for November 17, 2021. The Great Lebanon County Pitch contest will award up to $8,000 in prizes to participants with the best ideas. We are truly grateful for the support of Fulton Bank and other investors that will allow us to award seed money for this event” concluded Groh.
