HR Weaver Building Systems of Annville has acquired Ensminger Builder of Hershey.
Ensminger Builder was available for acquisition with the imminent retirement of founder Jake Ensminger. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We have been in discussion with Jake Ensminger for a few months since he contacted us with the news that he was ready to retire,” said HR Weaver President/CEO Chad Weaver in a release.
HR Weaver is a general contractor for commercial and residential construction. The firm says that the Ensminger company will enhance its capabilities for residential remodeling and additions.
Ensminger is one of three companies acquired by HR Weaver recently, with the firm having also picked up Hahnlen Electric and Steve Kreider Painting. In the release, the company said that the more complete set of services offered thanks to the acquisitions will result in greater efficiency for construction projects.
HR Weaver was founded in Campbelltown in 1972 by brothers Harold and Glenn Weaver. The company would later split, with Glenn taking the company’s automotive repair business and Harold taking the construction business and moving it to Annville. HR Weaver remains a family business.
