Here are the most recent food safety violations in Lebanon County, as documented by Pennsylvania’s Department of Agriculture.

Inspections are taken as a “snapshot” of the day and time, and should not necessarily be taken as overall indicators of an establishment’s cleanliness. Violations are often corrected prior to the inspector leaving the site. Restaurants were found to be in compliance unless otherwise noted.

Observed packaged snack food displayed so that the bottom of the packages are directly on the floor next to the entrance and four inches from the floor on another rack rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required.

4 – 601.11(A) Equipment, Food Contact Surfaces, Nonfood Contact Surfaces and Utensils
The inside of the microwave, a food contact surface, was observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch.

6 – 501.111 Controlling Pests
Potential rodent harborage areas on the exterior of the building perimeter observed around the sides and the rear of the facility; specifically a very heavy accumulation of trash in broken wooden crates tight against the west side of the building, soda/drink cases and broken florescent light bulbs against the rear of the building, a chair and ottoman in the rear corner, and trash including old cigarette signs along the eastern perimeter of the property.

Non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil; specifically the three-compartment sink and two prep sinks.

Outside dumpster lids and lid of waste oil drum are not closed.

6 – 202.15 Outer Openings, Protected
Exterior rear door located in the corridor to the dumpster area of the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals.

Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration in the kitchen or in the bar area.

The ice bin at the bar and the french fry cutter in the kitchen, both food contact surfaces, were observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch.

No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink in the bar area, food prep area, men’s or women’s restrooms to remind food employees to wash their hands.

Potential rodent harborage areas on the exterior of the building perimeter observed in trash dumpster area due to old construction material debris, leaves and trash.

The handwash sink for employees located in the front area, is not convenient and easily accessible, as evidenced by the fact that it would be nearly impossible to reach the handwash sink due to the location of counter tops, the ice machine and the soda fountain.
