Pennsylvania State Police announced that a 55 year old Flushing, New York woman was killed last night while crossing Route 22 in Bethel Township.

The woman was crossing east of Blue Mountain Road. According to a police report, an initial investigation found her at fault for violating a restriction on pedestrians walking along or on highways.

The crash report says that a 2001 Chevrolet Subaru driven by a 61 year old Hillside, NJ man struck the woman as she was walking across Route 22. The man does not face any charges at this time.
