Those who frequent the Giant at 835 Bowman Avenue in Lebanon will now be able to pick up groceries without setting foot inside the store, or even leaving their vehicle.

Giant Direct, powered by Peapod, is a new e-commerce offering from the Carlisle-based grocery chain. The service allows customers to place orders online, which are then fulfilled in-store by store staff members, and finally delivered to customers’ vehicles outside the store.

“Our associates are eager to give our customers an easier, more innovative way to shop,” said Hasija Hodzic, store manager. “Giant Direct will offer better access to the products our customers need at prices they love and quality they trust all through an easy to use digital experience.”

To place an order, customers can visit Giant’s website, Peapod’s website, or use the Peapod app. After entering their zipcode, customers can shop from their phone or computer, then select when they would like to pick up their order.

This past January, Giant Direct made its debut in Lancaster, which serves as the home to the Giant Direct e-commerce hub. The next closest Peapod location to Lebanon is a Lititz Giant store 12 miles away.
