North Cornwall Commons, the mixed use development across from the fair grounds, is set to welcome its next major tenant: Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites.

The 90-room, 4-story hotel will be operated by Shaner Hotel Group, a State College-based hotel management company with 51 hotels total, and 13 in Pennsylvania, according to a new release. Within Pennsylvania, Shaner exclusively operates hotels in the Marriott family of brands.

Some of the amenities touted by Fairfield Inn & Suites include free hot breakfasts, free wifi, fitness centers, business centers, and (in the case of the Lebanon property) an expected outdoor pool. The hotel sits on 2.42 acres and is expected to feature 148 parking spaces.

Two approved restaurant sites in-between the hotel and fair grounds, with a planned 2.7 acres and 171 parking spaces available for development.

The project is being sponsored by Expo Center Hotel, LLC, a company managed by Jonathan Byler, CEO of Byler Holdings LLC.

Byler Holdings is also a co-owner of the company that manages the overall project, Springwood Development Partners, a partnership between Byler and commercial real estate developer Blackford Development Ltd.

In Lebanon County, Byler Holdings also owns Iron Valley Golf Course, Lebanon Valley Golf Course, and Blue Mountain Golf Course, as well as Annville-based Boger Concrete.
