If you’re the type of person who enjoys the halftime show as much as (or more than) the actual game, free your schedule this Saturday, September 28, for the 6th Annual Lebanon County Marching Band Exhibition.

The exhibition will be held at Cedar Crest’s Earl Boltz Stadium, with gates opening at 4:45pm and the show starting at 5:45pm. It is hosted by Cedar Crest Music Aides, a program that assists in funding various music program expenses such as uniforms, sheet music, and scholarships.

Student marching bands from Annville-Cleona, Cedar Crest, ELCO, Lebanon, Northern Lebanon, and Palmyra will perform their halftime or competition shows for an expected audience of 700-1,000 people. Around 450 students will perform in total.

In addition, the Cedar Crest Middle School Band will perform the National Anthem at the start of the event. Marching bands from Lebanon Valley College and Shippensburg University will also perform.

At the end of the event, featured marching bands will perform together for a showstopping conclusion.

“The weather looks beautiful for the 28th,” said Karin Mitchell, Cedar Crest Music Aides Treasurer. “We are hopeful that the community will come out in great numbers to support all the county music programs.”

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and free for children under 5. Proceeds support the Cornwall-Lebanon School District Music Departments.

Be sure to bring money for concessions. Raffle baskets, music-related gifts, and candy grams will also be available at the event.

Let friends know that you’re going or interested by marking so on the event’s Facebook page.
