Bethel Township

This crash occurred September 25 at 7:48pm on the northbound travel lane of South Pine Grove Street (State Rout 343) just south of its intersection with Pine Meadow Road, Bethel Township, Lebanon County. Operator 2, a 17 year old Fredericksburg male, was traveling north on South Pine Grove Street in Unit 2 , a 2002 Ford F250 Supercab, directly ahead of Unit 1, a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer driven by a 19 year old Lebanon woman. Operator 2 applied the brakes for Unit 2 to slow for a vehicle ahead of Unit 2 making a left turn onto Pine Meadow Road from the northbound travel lane of South Pine Grove Street. Operator 1 was traveling north on South Pine Grove Street in Unit 1 directly behind Unit 2. Operator 1 was unable to apply the brakes to Unit 1 in a timely manner as Operator 2 slowed for traffic ahead of Unit 2. Unit 1 subsequently struck the rear end of Unit 2. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage to its front bumper, hood, engine compartment, and windshield at its 12 o’clock position and was towed from the scene by Porrini’s Towing. The front driver’s side airbag for Unit 1 was also deployed as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was not wearing his seat belt at the time of this crash and sustained mild cuts and scrapes as a result of this crash. Passenger 1 of Unit 1 was also not wearing her seat belt at the time of this crash and sustained a head injury as a result of striking the front windshield. Passenger 1 of Unit 1 was transported to Hershey Medical Center by First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon. Unit 2 sustained mild damage to its rear bumper and tailgate at the 6 o’clock position as a result of this crash and was able to be driven from the scene in its normal customary manner. Operator 2 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash.

City of Lebanon

Felicia Lira-Benedit a 48 year old with no permanent address has been charged with Criminal Trespass after an incident on 9-25-19 at 1708 hours on the 00 block of E. Locust Street. Lira is accused of entering a home she had no right or privilege to enter. She fled from the resident after being confronted. Police found Lira within a short distance from the home, apprehended her and transported her to LCCB. She was arraigned before MDJ Kim Wolfe and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Walter Torres Jr. a 43 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Prohibited Offensive Weapons, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest on 9-20-19 at 2025 hours on the 1000 block of Chestnut Street. Torres is accused of causing a disturbance and refused to disperse from the area. While being apprehended he resisted being controlled by officers. He was searched subsequent to arrest and is alleged to have been in possession of brass knuckles. He was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Kim Wolfe. Torres was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Jonathan Sudol a 19 year old with no permanent address has been charged with a violation of a Protection From Abuse Order on 9-20-19 at 2324 hours on the 500 block of Guilford Street. Sudol is accused of having contact with the 36 year old victim after he arrived at her residence and had verbal contact with her. Sudol was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Kim Wolfe. He was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $5,000 bail. The victim was not injured as a result of the contact.

Trey Rodriguez a 25 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Strangulation (domestic violence related), Simple Assault and Terroristic Threats on 9-22-19 at 2230 hours on the 700 block of Lehman Street. Rodriguez is accused of striking the 25 year old victim on her face causing minor injury then choking the victim to the point she could no breathe. He is accused of telling the victim he would burn her house down. Rodriguez was apprehended and transported to LCCB. He was arraigned before MDJ John Ditzler and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Jeffrey Miller a 32 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Strangulation (domestic violence related) on 9-23-19 at 2039 hours on the 00 block of S. 5th Ave. Miller is accused of putting the 31 year old victim into a choke hold at which time she was unable to breathe and was losing consciousness. Miller was apprehended and transported to LCCB where he was arraigned by MDJ Kim Wolfe. He was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $5,000 bail.

A charge of Furnishing a Drug Free Urine has been filed against Toby Rutter a 41 year old Lebanon resident after an incident on 9-10-19 at 0834 hours at 508 Oak Street. Rutter is accused of using a device strapped to his body in an effort to provide drug free urine to his probation officer.

Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and General Lighting Requirements have been filed against a 37 year old Lebanon man after a traffic stop on 7-06-19 at 0226 hours on the 200 block of Lehman Street.

Cornwall Borough

Accident – Occurred Wednesday, 4:53 PM, on Butler Road at Starner Road. A 16 year old Lebanon woman was northbound on Butler Road when a dust cloud blew across the road causing her not to be able to see. When the cloud cleared she had to swerve to avoid a vehicle in front of her and she ran off the road striking and shearing off a utility pole. She and a passenger complained of minor injuries but declined treatment. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed.

Jackson Township

This crash occurred on September 26 at 3:51pm as Unit 1, a 2009 Honda Accord driven by a 44 year old Lebanon man, was attempting to enter onto SR 422 from the parking lot near 649 E. Lincoln Ave. Unit #2, a 2016 Ford F350 driven by a 71 year old Douglassville man, was traveling east down a center turn lane approaching the intersection of SR 422 and Dutchway Dr. Unit #2’s front end struck Unit #1’s driver side door and front corner panel. Unit #1 sustained severe damage to its front driver’s corner panel and door. Unit #2 sustained minor front end damage. Operator #1 sustained unknown injuries and was transported to Hershey Medical Center. Operator #2 was not injured during the crash. Unit #1 was towed from the scene by CJ Wagner’s. Unit #2 was driven from the scene.

This two-vehicle crash occurred on September 27 at 10:15pm on SR 422 westbound, west of Scenic Drive in Jackson Township, Lebanon County. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2019 Hyundai Elantra driven by David Coleman, a 42 year old Shippensburg man, was traveling westbound on SR422 and rear-ended Unit 2 who was traveling on SR 422 westbound, directly in front of Unit 1. Unit 1 came to final rest in the westbound lane of SR422. Unit 2, a 2014 Honda Odyssey driven by a 34 year old Lebanon woman, was able to move to the shoulder of SR422. westbound. The operator and passenger of Unit 1 sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment. Unit 1 had multiple airbag deployments upon impact. The operator of Unit 2 sustained no injuries in the crash and was wearing her seatbelt. Operator 1 was charged with DUI.

North Londonderry Township

On September 25 at 4:42pm, the North Londonderry Township Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident at the lsited location. The accident occurred when a 57 year old Robesonia man, who was driving a Lebanon Transit Bus at the time, turned into the lane of travel of a 61 year old Grantville man. The Grantville man was traveling south on Plaza Drive and was turning east onto Maple Street. He was traveling north on Plaza Drive when he was unable to avoid a collision with the bus. Four passengers were on the bus. The Grantville man was the only person injured and was transported to the Hershey Medical Center. The bus driver was cited with Vehicle Turning Left.

North Londonderry Township Police have charged a 19 year old Mechanicsburg woman with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in which she was found to be in possession of a marijuana grinder. A 19 year old Annville woman was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.

A 59 year old Palmyra man was charged with harassment after he waited along the side of the roadway for a female to pass, followed her home and then made contact with her in her front yard, causing alarm and annoyance to the victim.

Swatara Township

This crash occurred September 26 at 2:06pm on Interstate 81 South at mile market 92.7, Swatara Township, Lebanon County. Unit 1, a 2012 Toyota Tacoma, was traveling south on Interstate 81 South in the left lane of travel, while Unit 2, a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia, was traveling in the right lane of Interstate 81 South ahead of Unit 1. While traveling south on Interstate 81 South, Operator 1 steered Unit 1 into the right lane of travel to avoid an in progress crash ahead of both Unit’s 1 and 2. As a result of the quick lane change, Unit 1 struck the trailing portion of Unit 2. Unit 1 sustained mild damage to its front passenger side-fender, headlight, bumper, and tire rim at its 1 o’clock position and was able to be driven from the scene in its normal customary manner. Operator 1 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash. The trailing portion of Unit 2 sustained no damage as a result of this crash and was able to be driven from the scene in its normal customary manner. Operator 2 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash.

This crash occurred September 26 at 2:26pm on Interstate 81 South at mile marker 93, Swatara Township, Lebanon County. This crash occurred as Operator 1, a 22 year old Hazleton man, was traveling south in the right travel lane of Interstate 81 South in Unit 1, a 2018 International Harvester LT. Operator 1 was attempting to negotiate a left curve in the roadway and lost control of Unit 1. Unit 1 subsequently traversed across the left lane and shoulder of Interstate 81 South before striking an embankment beyond the shoulder. After striking the embankment, Unit 1 continued to travel south along the embankment before coming to final rest blocking the shoulder and left travel lane of Interstate 81 South. The cab of Unit 1 came to final rest straddling the left shoulder and grassy area beyond the shoulder facing east while the trailing portion of Unit 1 came to final rest in the left travel lane, shoulder and left travel lane of Interstate 81 South. The cab of Unit 1 came to final rest straddling the left shoulder and grassy area beyond the shoulder facing east while the trailing portion of Unit 1 came to final rest in the left travel lane, shoulder, and grassy area beyond the shoulder of Interstate 81 South facing west. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage to its front bumper and hood at its 12 o’clock position and was towed from the scene by Hammer’s Towing. Debris and fluids from Unit 1 were scattered along the embankment, shoulder, and left travel lane of Interstate 81 South. Operator 1 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash and was cited with driving vehicle at safe speed.

Union Township

On September 26 from 4:45pm to 5:15pm, at Old Forge Road, the victim reported her iPhone 7 was stolen from her mobile work station. Stolen: Apple iPhone 7 with clear flower case, value $200.
