Accident โ Occurred Wednesday, 11:03 AM, on SR 72 southbound, south of the SR 322 east ramp.ย Vehicles driven by a 19-year-old Lebanon woman; and a 63-year-old York man. No injuries.ย The man’s vehicle was towed.
North Londonderry Township
On Jan. 13, 2020, the North Londonderry Township Police Department took a fraud report. During the investigation, officers discovered an elderly victim received over seventy phone calls from a subject representing himself as an Apple employee. The suspected convinced the victim she had technical issues with her Apple iPhone and he would be able to help resolve the problems with the phone. The suspect requested that the victim purchase gift cards and provide him with the card and PIN numbers to pay for the services. The victim purchased multiple gift cards over the course of several days and lost $3,400.
On Jan. 8, 2020, at 6:45 a.m., the North Londonderry Township Police were dispatched to a single motor-vehicle accident at the intersection of Syner Rd. & Gravel Hill Rd. The police made contact with the driver, a 69-year-old Hershey man. He reported that he was traveling north on Gravel Hill Rd. when a pickup made a right hand turn onto Gravel Hill Rd. from Syner Rd. He reported to avoid a possible collision he turned onto Syner Rd. and slid on the ice covered roadway. His vehicle exited the roadway striking a stop sign and utility pole. He was not injured, but his vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
For an incident on Jan. 13 at 6:14 p.m., a 19-year-old Lebanon woman was charged with disorderly conduct for the incident that occurred inside the Rey Azteca restaurant. Citation was filed with DJ Garver’s office.
South Londonderry Township
On Jan. 7 at 3:25 p.m, Unit 1, operated by a 21-year-old Palmyra man, was traveling north bound on snowy slick conditions, traveling downhill on Stauffer’s Church Rd. when he lost control of the vehicle and traveled into the opposing lane of travel over large rocks into a field, leaving the vehicle disabled. No injuries reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
On Dec. 26 at 12:03 p.m., a 72-year-old Palmyra man was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic after he struck a utility pole in front of a house on the 100 block of Palmyra Road. The roadway was closed for several hours while repairs were made to the utility pole.
On Jan. 7 at 4:48 p.m., a 23-year-old Palmyra man was traveling on South Forge Rd. heading north during snowy conditions when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a telephone pole. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries reported.
