City of Lebanon

On Jan. 26 at 12:47 a.m. Troopers of PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 Nissan Altima driven by an 18-year-old Spring Glen woman. Through an investigation the operator showed signs of impairment of a controlled substance. A search of the vehicle yielded controlled substances and related paraphernalia. Charges to be prepared and filed pending lab results.

In the commission of this crime on Jan. 29 at 10:07 a.m. a traffic stop was conducted at E. Cumberland St. and N. 4th Ave. on a 2008 Honda Odyssey. During the stop a passenger, Fatiema reaves, a 24-year-old Lebanon woman, was immediately identified as a wanted person. Reaves was taken into custody without incident. Another passenger, Joanne Passerini, a 34-year-old Lebanon woman, provided a false name and began to have a medical episode. White waiting for EMS to respond, Passerini attempted to flee on foot during questioning. Passerini was tackled by pursuing Troopers and continued to resist arrest as she was taken into custody. After being into custody, Passerini provided her actual identity. Passerini was found to have multiple active warrants and also in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both Passerini and Reaves were transported to Lebanon County Central Booking without further incident. As a result of the traffic stop, charges of felony Flight to Avoid Apprehension, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia were filed on Passerini. The operator of the vehicle is also facing charges of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

A 23 year old Lancaster woman has been cited for Public Drunkenness on 1-26-20 at 0203 hours on the 800 block of Willow Street.

A 26 year old Mt. Morris, NY man has been cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after a traffic stop on 1-26-20 at 0032 hours on the 00 block of N. 9th Street. He was also cited for One-Way Roadways.

A 15 year old male from Lebanon has been cited for Disorderly Conduct on 1-16-20 at 1550 hours on the 600 block of Union Street.

A 60 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on 1-19-20 at 2034 hours on the 200 block of S. 4th Street.

John Rico a 26 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with a Protection From Abuse Order violation on 1-25-20 at 0154 hours on the 700 block of Glenwood Street. Rico is accused of being at the residence with the 24 year old victim of the PFA. The victim was not injured as a result of the contact. Rico was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Anthony Verna. Rico was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Joshua Morgan a 24 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Retail Theft (felony) and Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana after an incident on 1-26-20 at 1813 hours on the 900 block of Church Street. Morgan is accused of taking merchandise in the amount of $10.25 without paying for said items. When apprehended, police accuse him of possessing Marijuana. Morgan is accused of having two previous retail theft convictions thus, this violation is a felony. He was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Maria Dissinger. He was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $10,000 bail.

A charge of Retail Theft has been filed against a 38 year old Lebanon man after being accused of taking merchandise from a store totaling $19.04 on 1-26-20 at 1500 hours on the 600 block of N. 7th Street.

Charges of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against a 20 year old Lebanon man after an incident on 1-10-20 at 1323 hours on the 100 block of S. 7th Street.

North Cornwall Township

On Jan. 20 around 6:45 p.m. hours on Shadow Creek Drive, Peter Martorana, 41, Cleona was charged with Stalking after police responded to a complaint of a suspiciousย vehicle.

UPDATE:ย  An accident on Jan. 20 at 9:05 p.m. at 16th and Cumberland Street.ย Jeremy Bender, 36, Lebanon was driving eastbound on Cumberland Street and believed a 23-year-old Lebanon man was slowing down.ย Bender stated he did not have enough time to stop and struck the rear of the Lebanon man’s vehicle.ย Benderโ€™s vehicle had to be towed, the other vehicle was driven from the scene.ย No injuries reported. Bender was charged with DUI after blood results of BAC 0.166%.

A traffic stop for low-hanging exhaust system on Oct. 25, 2019 around 10:31 p.m. hours in the area of 1900 block of Cumberland, Christopher Gonzalez-Suarez was charged with DUI, Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving without a License, and Safety Restraints.

North Lebanon Township

A 42-year-old Harrisburg woman was stopped on Jan. 25 at 1:42 a.m. for a traffic violation at SR 72 N and Horst Dr. During the stop it was determined that the operator was DUI. The operator was arrested for DUI and taken to Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital for a blood test. Charges are pending blood test result.

On Jan. 21 at 2:01 p.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on Jonestown Rd at its intersection with Yordys Bridge Rd, East Hanover Township, Lebanon County. The operator of the vehicle, Shaquille Daniel Vazquez-Melendez, was found to be in possession of approximately 12 grams of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana. Vazquez-Melendez also possessed a digital scale and packaging equipment. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to PSP Jonestown where charges were prepared. Vazquez-Melendez was then transported to Lebanon County Central Booking to await arraignment.

North Londonderry

North Londonderry Township Police have charged a 20-year-old Harrisburg woman with retail theft after she was apprehended by loss prevention, who observed the woman conceal merchandise and fail to scan other merchandise.

Richland Borough

This crash occurred on Jan. 28 at 6:08 p.m. as Unit 1 was traveling south on W. Main Street and Unit 2, a 2019 Ford F-150XLT, was legally parked south on the west curb. Unit 1 collided with Unit 2’s driver side mirror. Unit 1 fled the scene post crash.
