Bethel Township

Drug Possession – On Sept. 20, 2020 at approximately 6:52 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Subaru Impreza Outback on School Dr. and Airport Rd. in Bethel Twp. for vehicle code violations. The Operator of the vehicle was found to be in possession of marijuana and associated paraphernalia. Appropriate charges are to be filed. The Arrestee was an 18 year old Jonestown man.

City of Lebanon

Curfew Violation – A 15 year old male from Lebanon has been cited for a Curfew violation on Sept. 19 at 1:26 a.m. on the 200 block of N. Lincoln Ave. 

Charges of Terroristic Threats and Disorderly Conduct – Charges of Terroristic Threats and Disorderly Conduct have been filed against Dennis Mercado a 40 year old Lebanon resident after an incident on Sept. 18 at 1:31 p.m. on the 400 block of S. 6th Street. Mercado is accused of causing a disturbance and during the disturbance telling the 40 year old victim he would “slice your throat” and “I’m ready to bash your heads.” 

PFA Violation – Joseph Bennett a 37 year old Harrisburg resident has been charged with a Protection From Abuse Order violation on Sept. 20 at 2:24 p.m. on the 1500 block of Washington Street. Bennett is accused of making contact with the 37 year old victim by telephone and text messaging. At the time of this release Bennett had not been apprehended.

Indecent Assault – Police have charged Dr. Bruce Ioli a 66 year old Lebanon resident with 3 counts of Indecent Assault after investigation into three separate incidents occurring between 8-01-19 and 6-19-20 on the 900 block of Cornwall Road. Ioli is accused of having indecent contact with three women during the performance of chiropractic care. The victims range in age of 22 to 28 years old. The charges have been filed. Anyone with additional information is asked to call Sgt. Keith Uhrich of the Lebanon City Police Department at 717 272 6611.   

Disorderly Conduct – A 25 year old Lebanon woman has been cited for Disorderly Conduct on 9-21-20 at 2330 hours on the 00 block of S. 10th Street. 

Multiple Violations – Marquis Middleton a 32 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Person Not to Possess, Use, Manufacture, Control, Sell or Transfer Firearms, Sale or Transfer of Firearms (4 cts), Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Sale or Transfer of Firearms (4 cts), Firearm Ownership-Providing False Information (4 cts) and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Firearm Ownership-Providing False Information after investigation into incidents occurring between June 26, 2020, and Sept. 4, 2020, at a gun store within Lebanon County. As a result of the same investigation charges have been filed against Amanda Sourwine a 30 year old Lebanon resident. Charges of Sale or Transfer of Firearms (4 cts), Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Sale or Transfer of Firearms (4 cts), Firearm Ownership-Providing False Information (4 cts), Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Firearm Ownership-Providing False Information, Tampering With Public Records or Information and Unsworn Falsification to Authorities. Police are accusing Sourwine of purchasing a total of 9 handguns on four separate occasions at the direction of Middleton and providing the 9 firearms to Middleton knowing he was not permitted to purchase or possess the firearms. On Sept. 11 at 10:54. a.m., police were in the possession of an arrest warrant for Middleton and a search warrant for his residence on the 100 block of North 12th Street. Middleton was observed him leaving his residence; police confronted him on the sidewalk. As police approached, he is alleged to have handed off a bag to a woman who was walking with him after leaving his home. Police apprehended him without incident. The bag was retrieved from the woman, a search of the bag revealed it contained suspected cocaine, $370 US Currency and a Smith and Wesson .380 handgun. The serial number on the handgun was obliterated however, it matches the make, model and caliber of one the nine handguns purchased by Sourwine. A search of Middleton’s residence was conducted. As a result of the search police found drug paraphernalia, ammunition, handgun holsters, handgun magazines, sale of firearm records and a handgun box. Middleton was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Carl Garver. He was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $750,000 bail. Additional charges were brought against Middleton as a result of the incident on Sept. 11. The additional charges are Persons Not to Possess, Use, Manufacture, Control, Sell or Transfer Firearms, Firearms not to be Carried Without a License, Possession of Firearm With Altered Manufacture’s Number, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arraigned at LCCF by MDJ John Ditzler. Middleton remains incarcerated at LCCF with an additional $250,000 bail.       

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident, Driving On Roadways Laned For Traffic – On Sept. 17, 2020 at 12:22 a.m., this one-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 1995 Dodge Dakota, driven by Operator 1, a 17 year old Reinholds male, was traveling southbound on SR 501, south of Hergelrode Dr. in Jackson Twp. Unit 1 left the right side of the roadway, hitting the beginning of the guide rail with the front passenger’s side of the vehicle. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries and was not wearing his seatbelt. Operator 1 was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit. Operator 1 was charged with Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Vehicle Accident, DUI – On Sept. 19, 2020 at 4:19 a.m., this crash occurred on Pleasant Dr. in Jackson Twp. This crash occurred as Operator 1, Daniel Hollomon, a 23 year old Richmond, VA man, was traveling east in Unit 1, a 2004 Honda Pilot, on Pleasant Dr. Operator 1 was unable to successfully negotiate Unit 1 through a sharp left curve in the roadway before leaving the roadway and striking a tree. Unit 1 sustained heavy and disabling damage to its front bumper, hood, and engine compartment and was towed from the scene by Leffler’s Towing. Operator 1 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

Myerstown Borough

Harassment – On Sept. 19, 2020 at 8:10 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the East Richland Ave. for a report of an active domestic. Through investigation, it was determined the Actor, a 13 year old Myerstown male, kicked the Victim, a 44 year old Myerstown woman, in her stomach and face. The Actor was cited with Harassment via Non Traffic Citation.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident, Roadways Laned For Traffic – On Sept. 18, 2020 at 7:20 p.m., police responded to a single-vehicle crash on the 1,000 block of Hoffer Rd. Operator 1, a 31 year old Palmyra man, advised that he was traveling north on Hoffer Rd. when he fell asleep at the wheel. Operator 1 drove off the roadway and struck a mailbox. The vehicle required towing by Doug’s Towing. Operator 1 was cited with Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Owning An Unlicensed Dog, Failing To Confine – A 35 year old Palmyra woman was cited for Owning an Unlicensed Dog and for Failing to Confine the Dog to her property. The charges come in connection with an incident that occurred on Sept. 10, 2020 at 6:12 p.m. on the 00 block of Campbelltown Rd., where the dog left the property and was struck by a bicyclist.

Union Township

Drug Possession – On Sept. 11, 2020 at 10:51 p.m., troopers of PSP Jonestown station initiated a traffic stop at Lickdale Rd. and Nature Ln. on a 2007 Dodge Chrysler for numerous traffic violations. Upon initial contact with the Operator, an odor of marijuana was detected. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted; numerous signs of impairment were observed. The defendant was subsequently taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. The Arrestee was an 18 year old Jonestown man.

Drug Possession – On Aug. 31, 2020 at 11:03 p.m., State Police responded to the 900 block of I 81 South for a report of a vehicle, a 2017 Kia Sorento, and Occupant being involved in a crash. During the investigation, it was determined the lone Occupant of the vehicle was operating it while under the influence of heroin and methamphetamine. The Occupant crashed at an unknown location before driving to the above location. Suspected heroin and related drug paraphernalia were also found on the Occupant’s person. The Arrestee was Sergio Rivera, a 38 year old Pottsville man. Charges are pending.
