City of Lebanon

Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Harassment by Prison – Javonne Grace, a 28 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with Aggravated Assault (three counts), Aggravated Harassment by Prisoner, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Drunkenness after police were called to the 100 block of North 10th St. for a person breaking into a home on Oct. 19, 2020 at 9:51 p.m. The homeowner and Grace know each other; however, Grace was attempting entry into the home where he was not welcome. Police made contact with Grace at which time he fled on foot only to be apprehended within a short distance from the home. Grace is accused of resisting arrest and kicking officers. He was transported to LCCB at which time police allege he spit at officers and booking staff. He was arraigned before MDJ John Ditzler and detained at LCCF in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Burglary, Criminal Conspiracy To Commit Burglary – On Oct. 16, 2020 at approximately 12:14 a.m., police were dispatched to a burglary in progress on the 1,100 block of Maple St. at the storage units and, at approximately the same time, police were sent to the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital for a report of a Victim with a minor wound from a possible gunshot. Police were told a group of people were attempting to break into a storage unit and the renter of the unit fired his legally owned and possessed firearm into the ground in an effort to scare the people away. He first verbally confronted the group with no success of making them disperse, and quickly discharged two rounds. The two juveniles at the hospital claimed they were walking near Turkey Hill at 12th St. and Maple St. and were the Victims of the gunfire. Police investigated and learned the two juveniles at the hospital were two persons in the group attempting to break into the storage unit. Two 17 year old male juveniles were charged with Burglary, Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary, Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Criminal Conspiracy to Attempt to Commit Burglary, and Possessing Instruments of Crime. Both juveniles were detained by Lebanon County Juvenile Probation Officers. Police have collected the firearm as evidence. This investigations remains open.

Disorderly Conduct With A Motor Vehicle – An 18 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Disorderly Conduct with a Vehicle (loud music) on Oct. 2, 2020 at 6:02 p.m.

Public Drunkenness – A 50 year old man with no permanent address has been cited for Public Drunkenness on Oct. 21, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. on the 200 block of North 9th St.

DUI, Driving While Operating Privilege Is Suspended Or Revoked – Charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked (DUI related) and Traffic Control Signals have been filed against Brenda Wise, a 49 year old Cleona resident, after a traffic stop on Aug. 21, 2020 at 10:53 p.m. on the 100 block of North Liberty St. Wise refused to submit to the blood alcohol test.

Receiving Stolen Property – Jason Chamberlain, a 52 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with Receiving Stolen Property after an incident on Oct. 20, 2020 at 9:50 a.m. on the 700 block of Guilford St. Chamberlain is accused of taking an item from his place of employment he had no right or privilege to take. He is accused of placing the stolen item for sale on a social media site. The item was recovered from Chamberlain. He was transported to LCCB and arraigned on this charge. He received $1,000 unsecured bail; however, he was incarcerated on an outstanding warrant.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 23, 2020 at 6:51 a.m., this non-reportable crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2015 Ford Mustang, and Unit 2, a 2016 Toyota IA, were traveling northbound on SR 934 in East Hanover Twp. Unit 1 and Unit 2 were traveling northbound when traffic began to slow down. Operator 2 hit his brakes to slow down and Operator 1 was unable to slow down in time, causing a rear-end collision. Initial impact occurred as the front bumper of Unit 1 collided with the rear bumper of Unit 2. Both Units came to final rest in a parking lot on the west side of SR 934. Unit 1 and Unit 2 were driven from the scene. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited with Following Too Closely.

Heidelberg Township

Scattering Rubbish – On Oct. 23, 2020 at 10:26 a.m., PSP Jonestown received a report of trash being found on the property of the Victim on the 200 block of Old Mill Rd. At an unknown date and time, an unknown Actor(s) placed a black garbage bag on the land of the Victim, located on the exterior of the property. The Actor(s) then fled from the scene in an unknown direction by an unknown means of travel. The bag was discovered on Oct. 21, 2020 at approximately 5:00 p.m. The Victim was a 40 year old Newmanstown man. PSP is investigating.

Jackson Township

Identity Theft – On Oct. 23, 2020 at 12:21 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the 800 block of Hilltop Rd. for a report of the Victim’s credit card being used by an unknown individual. This incident occurred on Oct. 22, 2020 at approximately 11:54 p.m., when the Victim received a text alert from her bank regarding a potential purchase. Investigation further revealed that an unknown Actor attempted to use the Victim’s card information to purchase $52.78 worth of unknown goods from the Turkey Hill in Jackson Twp., store #0081, through a mobile app. The Victim was a 55 year old Perkasie woman. PSP is investigating.

North Lebanon Township

DUI – On Oct. 23, 2020 at 1:48 a.m., this crime occurred on Ebenezer Rd. and Long Ln. In the commission of this crime, the Arrestee was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The Arrestee was a 40 year old Fredericksburg man. The vehicles involved included a 2005 General Motors Corp Sierra.

Richland Borough

Criminal Trespass – On Oct. 12, 2020 at approximately 3:00 a.m., a W/N-F, a 28 year old, trespassed on the Victim’s property, located on the 00 block of North Race St. in Richland Boro. The Arrestee admitted to walking into the Victim’s garage while attempting to repeatedly call the Victim because he was with another female. A Non-Traffic Citation for Simple Trespassing is to be issued to the Arrestee. The Victim was a 25 year old Richland Boro. man. The Arrestee was a 28 year old Manheim woman. PSP is investigating.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 22, 2020 at 12:45 p.m., this reportable crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2012 Toyota Prius, driven by Operator 2, a 23 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling south on SR 72 in Swatara Twp. Unit 1, a 2017 Freightliner Tractor, driven by Operator 1, a 62 year old Lancaster man, was traveling directly behind Unit 2. Operator 2 slowed to a stop to turn left onto East Center St. Operator 1 could not stop when Unit 2 slowed down, causing a rear-end collision. Initial impact occurred as the front bumper of Unit 1 collided with the rear bumper and trunk of Unit 2. Unit 1 came to final rest at the initial point of impact and Unit 2 came to final rest on a driveway on the east side of SR 72. Operator 1 was not injured as a result of this crash. Operator 2 was transported to the hospital with head and neck injuries. Unit 1 was towed from the scene. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 18, 2020 at 12:13 p.m., the PSP Jonestown station investigated a one-vehicle crash which occurred on the 2,300 block of SR 72 in Union Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2019 Honda Ridgeline, driven by Operator 1, a 73 year old Lebanon man, was traveling south and fell asleep. Unit 1 crossed the centerline and struck a mailbox and subsequently an embankment on the left side of the roadway. The secondary impact induced an end-over-end rollover. Unit 1 came to final rest on its wheels against the embankment. Operator 1 was transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center for injuries of an unknown severity. Operator 1 was cited with a traffic citation for Roadways Laned for Traffic. Operator 1 was also cited with Careless Driving. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Motter’s Towing, Life Lion EMS, and Lebanon and Jonestown Fire Departments.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 23, 2020 at 9:57 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Operator 1, a 32 year old Jonestown woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 9 year old Jonestown female, and Unit 2, a 2010 Toyota Camry, driven by Operator 2, a 42 year old Lebanon woman, were traveling north on SR 72. Unit 2 slowed and began to turn left onto Moonshine Rd. Unit 1 struck the rear of Unit 2. Unit 1 was disabled from the crash. Both Units were towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.
