City of Lebanon Police released additional details on Monday, Dec. 14, regarding a fatal traffic crash which took place after noon on Sunday.

The incident took place at 10th and Lehman Streets, where police said that a car had been traveling west on Lehman Street and a motorcycle traveling south on 10th Street.

According to the release, the motorcyclist struck the right rear passenger door area of the vehicle, a Hyundai Tuscon.

Police said the motorcyclist, identified as 37 year old Jose Rivera-Rivera of Lebanon, was fatally injured in the crash.

Police said the motorcyclist had not been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and was alone on the bike.

The driver of the vehicle was a 66 year old Lebanon man.

An investigation by the Lebanon County District Attorney’s Serious Traffic Accident Response Team is ongoing and police said that video evidence of the intersection is being reviewed.
