Bethel Township

Vehicle Accident – On Feb. 1, 2021 at 9:43 a.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2019 Dodge Durango, driven by Operator 1, a 19 year old Northampton woman, was traveling in the right lane of I 78, traversing west, when Operator 1 failed to negotiate a slight righthand curve. Unit 1 went off of the righthand side of the roadway, down an embankment, and struck a ditch. Upon striking the ditch, Unit 1 rolled onto its passenger’s side. Unit 1 came to final rest on its passenger’s side. Operator 1 was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained minor injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was transported via Bethel Community Ambulance to the Good Samaritan Hospital. Unit 1 was towed from the scene. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Theft – On Feb. 4, 2021 at 1:56 p.m., PSP responded to Blue Mountain Rd. in Bethel Twp. for a report of a theft by deception. The Complainant/Victim related that she had received an unemployment check and credit card from Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim related that she had never filed for unemployment. The unemployment check stated that it was the first check to be sent to the Victim. The Victim completed a fraud report to Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim never received any tax form for the unemployment (PUA-1099G). The Victim did not sustain any monetary loss. Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor and Industry was contacted about said incident. The Victim was a 59 year old Fredericksburg woman.

Cleona Borough

Vehicle Accident – On Jan. 31, 2021 at 10:47 a.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2002 Toyota 4-Runner, driven by Operator 1, a 56 year old Annville man, was traveling south on North Center St. Unit 1’s tires lost contact with the snow- and the ice-covered road surface, causing Operator 1 to lose control of Unit 1. Unit 1 then veered into the northbound travel lane and directly into the path of oncoming Unit 2, a 2005 Scion XA, driven by Operator 2, a 46 year old Lebanon man. Upon impact, Unit 1 spun before coming to its position of final rest, facing a northwest direction. Unit 2 continued in a northeast direction, before coming to its position of final rest. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Heidelberg Township

Harassment – On Feb. 4, 2021 at approximately 8:35 a.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to the Millcreek police department for a domestic-related incident. Upon arrival, troopers learned that, during a verbal argument between boyfriend and girlfriend, the male grabbed the female by her hair and threw her to the ground. The female left the scene, where she drove to the Millcreek police station to report the incident. This incident occurred at the Victim’s residence, located on the 100 block of Prospect Hill Dr. in Heidelberg Twp. The Arrestee was subsequently cited with Harassment. The Arrestee was a 38 year old Schaefferstown man. The Victim was a 37 year old Schaefferstown woman. All charges were filed within MDJ 52-3-01.

Vehicle Accident – On Feb. 2, 2021 at 2:36 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup, driven by Operator 1, a 31 year old Lebanon man, was traveling south on SR 501 in Heidelberg Twp. Unit 1 attempted to slow down due to a vehicle being stopped in the roadway. Unit 1 subsequently slid sideways due to the wet road conditions. Unit 1 crossed the solid double-yellow lines and was struck by Unit 2, a 2004 Ford F250 Supercab, driven by Operator 2, a 59 year old Lititz man, in the northbound lane of SR 501. Neither Operator 1 nor Operator 2 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene by Operator 1. Unit 2 sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Valley View Towing. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Lebanon County Fire Police.

Vehicle Accident – PSP Jonestown investigated a single-vehicle crash that occurred on SR 501, just south of its intersection with Waldek Ln. in Heidelberg Twp. This crash occurred on Feb. 5, 2021 at approximately 6:36 a.m. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Operator 1, was traveling north on SR 501, when it left the left side of the roadway. Unit 1 struck a mailbox and stopped on the side of an embankment. Unit 1 sustained minor damage as a result of this crash. No injuries were reported or observed as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was brought back onto the roadway by Gillis Miller Towing and subsequently left the scene under its own power. Form SP 7-0501TX was provided to Operator 1 on scene. A copy of the same was placed in the front door of the mailbox owner, as nobody came to the door. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Schaefferstown Fire and EMS.

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident – On Feb. 1, 2021 at 7:42 a.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Pickup, driven by Operator 1, a 19 year old Myerstown man, was traveling south on North Ramona Rd. in Jackson Twp., when Operator 1 failed to negotiate a lefthand curve. Unit 1 went off of the righthand side of the roadway, striking a fire hydrant, which was the first point of impact. Unit 1 continued along the shoulder of the roadway and struck a mailbox, located on the 00 block of North Ramona Rd. Unit 1 came to final rest on the right side of the roadway. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed by Millcreek Auto Repair. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Vehicle Accident – PSP Jonestown investigated a two-vehicle crash that occurred on the 700 block of East Lincoln Ave. in Jackson Twp. The crash occurred on Feb. 5, 2021 at 11:37 a.m. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2014 Jeep Compass, driven by Operator 1, a 35 year old Myerstown man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 20 year old Myerstown man, was following Unit 2, a 2020 Peterbilt Tractor Trailer, driven by Operator 2, a 53 year old Lebanon man. Unit 2 turned right into a traffic way. Unit 1 continued forward and was struck by Unit 2, as it turned. The front end of Unit 1 was impacted by Unit 2’s fuel tank, approximately at the 3 o’clock position. Unit 1 and Unit 2 continued off of the roadway into the traffic-way and came to a position of final rest still in contact. PSP Jonestown arrived on scene on Feb. 5, 2021 at approximately 11:46 a.m. and observed the following: Operator 1 was transported to the Good Samaritan Hospital by Myerstown EMS for treatment of minor injuries. Neither Passenger 1 nor Operator 2 were injured as a result of this crash. A traffic citation was filed on Operator 1 for PA VC 3310 (Following Too Closely). Unit 2 left the scene under its own power by its respective Operator. Unit 1 was removed from the scene by C.J. Wagner Towing. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Myerstown EMS and Myerstown Fire.

Jonestown Borough

False Alarm – On Jan. 12, 2021 at approximately 7:58 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown responded to the 00 block of West Market St. for a bank alarm. Through investigation, it was determined that the alarm was a false fault. This was PSP Jonestown’s fourth response to the above listed location in a 12-month period for a false fault alarm. As a result, an NTC was filed for PA Title 18: 7511.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident – On Feb. 1, 2021 at 6:13 p.m., this crash occurred on Old Forge Rd. and Sportsman Rd. North Londonderry Twp. police cited Operator 1, a 41 year old Annville woman, with Driving Too Fast for Conditions after her vehicle slid on a snow-covered roadway into the opposite lane of travel, striking a North Londonderry Twp. snow plow, being operated by a 43 year old Annville man. There were no injuries reported as a result of this crash, but Unit 1 had to be towed from the scene.

DUI – On Jan. 26, 2021 at 11:10 p.m., this crash occurred on the 500 block of West Ridge Rd. in Palmyra. Upon completion of a crash investigation on Jan. 26, 2021, Michael Beers, a 24 year old Hershey resident, was charged with DUI and other traffic offenses, including Safe Speeds and Required Financial Responsibility. Beers had a BAC of .16% at the time of the crash.

South Lebanon Township

Institutional Criminal Mischief – On Dec. 30, 2020 at 4:00 p.m., the Suspect did cause damage to a light fixture in the LCCF. The Victim was Lebanon County Correctional Facilities on East Walnut St. in Lebanon. The damaged property included a Light Fixture, valued at $175.00.

South Londonderry Township

DUI – On Dec. 18, 2020 at 2:31 a.m., this incident occurred on Northside Dr. and South Forge Rd. Operator 1, Trevor Christ, a 22 year old Harrisburg resident, was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Failing to Drive Within a Single Lane, and Having an Open Alcoholic Beverage Container, following a traffic stop on Dec. 18, 2020. Operator 1’s blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was 0.187%.

Swatara Township

Theft – On Jan. 26, 2021 at 4:22 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Stoner Rd. in Swatara Twp. to a report of theft/fraud. The Victim related that, on the above listed date, she received a phone call from her credit card company asking about two recent purchases for $529.99 and $530.00. The Victim related that both purchases were canceled. The credit card’s fraud department was notified. A Victim’s Rights Guide was provided to the Victim. There are no investigatory leads. The Victim was an 80 year old Jonestown woman. The stolen property included a Credit Card Purchase, valued at $1,059.99.

Vehicle Accident – On Feb. 5, 2021 at 7:32 a.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2000 Daewoo Nubira, driven by Operator 1, a 24 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling west on Greble Rd. Unit 1’s tires lost contact with the snow- and the ice-covered road surface, causing Operator 1 to lose control of Unit 1. Unit 1 exited the roadway from the south shoulder, where it hit an embankment. Unit 1 came to its position of final rest, approximately 60 feet at the bottom of the embankment, facing a north direction. Unit 1 sustained damage to the undercarriage. Unit 1’s front bumper was also dented. Operator 1 was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and reported no injuries as a result of this crash. No airbags were deployed as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Joe May’s Towing. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Lebanon County Fire/Police and Joe May’s Towing. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Theft – On Feb. 5, 2021 at approximately 11:46 a.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the Jonestown Ag. Supply, located at Old Route 22 in Swatara Twp. for a report of unauthorized usage of a customer’s store credit card. A customer’s account was used by an unauthorized user. The Victim was a 58 year old Annville man. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

Union Township

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On Jan. 13, 2021 at approximately 6:43 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to investigate a Criminal Mischief-related incident that occurred on the 00 block of Batz Ln. in Union Twp. on Jan. 10, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Through further investigation, troopers learned that the Victim’s vehicle sustained scratches to the entire passenger’s side. A Suspect has been identified. The Victim was a 27 year old Hummelstown woman. The vandalized vehicles included a 2011 Toyocar Van Container Trailer. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

Vehicle Accident – On Jan. 24, 2021 at 8:25 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred on SR 72 at its intersection with Lickdale Rd. in Union Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2018 Mazda Mazda 3, driven by Operator 2, a 23 year old Hampstead, MD man, was traveling westbound on Lickdale Rd. at its intersection with SR 72. Unit 1, a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, driven by Operator 1, a 63 year old Pine Grove man, was traveling northbound on SR 72 at its intersection with Lickdale Rd. As Unit 2 was passing through the intersection, it was struck by Unit 1, who ran a red light. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Traffic-Control Signals.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On Feb. 5, 2021 at approximately 11:02 a.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the Mease Motors, located at 2828 SR 72 in Union Twp., for a report of damage to a cement slab and an outdoor light. It is believed to have occurred on Feb. 5, 2021 sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. The Victim was Mease Motors in Union Twp. The damaged property included a Cement Slab from Hole 18 of the Blue Mountain Golf Course, valued at $200.00, and a Black Outdoor Light, valued at $50.00.
