Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct – Charges of Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct have been filed against Roger Henry III, a 34 year old Lebanon resident, after an incident on May 8, 2021 at 1:17 p.m. on the 00 block of Lehman St. Henry III is accused of punching the 59 year old Victim multiple times, causing minor injury to her head after pulling her to the ground by her hair.
Simple Assault – Jose Cotto-Moreno, a 25 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with Simple Assault (domestic violence related) after an incident on May 14, 2021 at 8:20 p.m. on the 200 block of South 8th St. Cotto-Moreno is accused of pushing the 39 year old Victim to the ground, causing her to strike her head on a door frame. The impact caused a laceration to her head. Cotto-Moreno was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Carl Garver and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats, Endangering Another Person – Hunter Briel, a 20 year old Annville resident, has been charged with Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person (domestic violence related) after an incident on May 14, 2021 at 3:29 p.m. on the 300 block of East Cumberland St. Briel is accused of punching the 23 year old Victim several times, causing minor injury. He is also accused of grabbing the steering wheel while the Victim was driving, forcing the car to swerve, nearly striking a passing vehicle. The Victim stopped the car, however. Briel is accused of shifting the car into reverse, placing his hand on her knee, and pushing her foot down on the accelerator, causing the vehicle to reverse quickly into lanes of travel. The Victim drove to a parking lot after she states Briel threatened to assault her children. She exited the vehicle with her children and called the police. Briel fled the vehicle prior to police arrival. He has not been apprehended, however. Police did speak to him via telephone and advised him of the charges levied against him.
Trespass – Ralph Warren, a 59 year old with no permanent address, has been cited for Trespass on May 20, 2021 at 2:59 p.m. on the 00 block of South 8th St. He was also cited for Trespass on May 24, 2021 at 3:30 a.m. on the 300 block of South 6th St.
Curfew – A 17 year old South Lebanon male and a 17 year old South Lebanon female have been cited for Curfew on May 23, 2021 at 3:27 a.m. on the 00 block of East Walnut St.
Public Drunkenness – A 48 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on May 22, 2021 at 3:56 p.m. on the 00 block of South 4th Ave.
Disorderly Conduct, Retail Theft – A 39 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Disorderly Conduct and Retail Theft on May 18, 2021 at 4:29 p.m. on the 300 block of Cumberland St. The man is accused of taking merchandise from the store without paying for said items. Total loss to the merchant is $9.50.
Public Drunkenness – A 49 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on May 22, 2021 at 8:34 p.m. on the 100 block of South 14th St.
Drug Possession – Jeffrey Seveland, a 47 year old Lebanon resident, has been cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on May 25, 2021 at 3:41 a.m. on the 900 block of Chestnut St.
DUI, Careless Driving – Charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Careless Driving have been filed against Ricardo Bernard-Lopez, a 54 year old South Lebanon resident, after a traffic accident on April 22, 2021 at 7:43 p.m. at East Chestnut Ave. and South 1st Ave. No one was injured during the accident. Police allege his BAC was .207% at the time of the accident.
East Hanover Township
Crash Pile Up Involving Commercial Vehicles – PSP Jonestown is investigating the following incident: On May 28, 2021 at 5:45 p.m., it was reported that several commercial vehicles (tractor trailers) collided with each other and piled up on I 81 at mile marker 87, blocking all southbound lanes of travel. PSP Jonestown troopers responded to the scene and are investigating. No fatalities have been reported at this time and injuries are unknown. I 81 is closed southbound at mile marker 90 and all traffic is being diverted onto Fisher Ave. I 78 was also closed westbound at mile marker 1 and traffic is being diverted to I 81 Northbound towards Exit 90. Heidelberg Township
Fatal Accident – On May 27, 2021 at 3:59 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 501 at its intersection with Michters Rd. in Heidelberg Twp. Unit 1, a 2017 Kia Sportage, driven by Operator 1, a 29 year old Myerstown man, was traveling northbound on SR 501. Unit 2, a 2020 Ford, driven by Operator 2, a 72 year old Lebanon man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 10 year old female, Passenger 2, a 7 year old male, Passenger 3, a male, Passenger 4, a male, and Passenger 5, an 11 year old female, was traveling southbound on SR 501. Unit 1 crossed over the center line of SR 501, entering the southbound lane. Unit 1 struck Unit 2 in the 11 o’clock position, which was the point of initial impact. Operator 1 was transported to Lancaster General Hospital for minor injuries. Operator 2 was transported to Lancaster General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Passenger 1 and Passenger 2 were transported to the Hershey Medical Center for suspected minor injuries. Passenger 3 and Passenger 4 were transported to Lancaster General Hospital for injuries of unknown severity. Passenger 5 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash, but was not transported. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
Jackson Township
Theft – On May 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., this incident occurred on Arbor Dr. On May 27, 2021 at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Victim arrived at PSP Jonestown to report an identity theft. Investigation revealed that the Victim received unemployment benefit information in the mail approximately three weeks ago. The Victim did not sign up to receive unemployment benefits. The Victim was a 66 year old Myerstown man. The stolen property included the Victim’s Identity.
Union Township
Vehicle Accident – On May 28, 2021 at 6:53 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2017 Toyota Prius, driven by Operator 1, a 30 year old Annandale man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 65 year old Annandale woman, was traveling in the right lane of SR 22 near its exit ramp for SR 72 in Union Twp. Unit 1 attempted to merge onto the SR 72 exit ramp and subsequently left the roadway and struck a guide rail along the east shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Motter’s Towing. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 reported no injuries from the crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
