Jonestown Borough

Drug Possession – On Aug. 19, 2021 at 9:39 p.m., troopers of PSP Jonestown station initiated a traffic stop on West Market St. for numerous traffic violations. It was determined that the Operator was driving under the influence. A search incident to arrest yielded numerous drugs and related paraphernalia. The vehicles involved included a 2021 Toyota Prius.

Myerstown Borough

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On Aug. 20, 2021 at 3:04 a.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown responded to West Washington Ave. for a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival on scene, the Victim related that the Arrestee was observed on surveillance camera throwing a printer into the engine bay of the Victim’s vehicle, causing damage. The Arrestee was cited via Non-Traffic Citation for Criminal Mischief. The Arrestee was a 43 year old Myerstown man. The Victim was a 32 year old Myerstown woman. The damaged property included a Part Intake Pipe. The vandalized vehicles included a 2004 Ford Mustang.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On Aug. 20, 2021 at 4:43 p.m., troopers of PSP Jonestown responded to Monroe Aly. and North Goodwill St. for a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival on scene, the Victim explained that he observed the Arrestee strike the driver’s side front door of his vehicle and garage door with a crowbar, causing damage. When questioning the Arrestee, he admitted to striking the vehicle door and garage door with the crowbar. The Arrestee was cited via Non-Traffic Citation for Criminal Mischief. The Arrestee was a 34 year old Myerstown man. The Victim was a 43 year old Myerstown man. The damage property included a Garage Door, valued at $300.00. The vandalized vehicles included a 2003 Mazda Protigi & Familia Protege.

North Cornwall Township

Theft By Unlawful Taking, Attempted Escape – On Aug. 17, 2021 at approximately 11:28 a.m., a silver Chevrolet Trailblazer was stolen from the parking lot of The Union Beer House. Michael Jenkins, a Lebanon resident, was located in the vehicle at South 9th St. and Cumberland St. While in custody, Jenkins attempted to escape but was stopped. He was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking and Attempted Escape.

North Lebanon Township

Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct – Yineli Polanco-Alvarado, a 32 year old Lebanon resident, Karelys Santiago-Alvardo, a 25 year old Lebanon resident, were charged with Criminal Mischief and Disorderly Conduct as a result of an incident that occurred on July 11, 2021 at the Lebanon Wal-Mart, after causing damage to a vehicle.

DUI – Ruben Nazario-Rivera, a 44 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Driving Under the Influence, after being involved in a car accident on July 18, 2021 in the 1,000 block of Route 72.

Swatara Township

Criminal Trespass – On Aug. 18, 2021 at 4:06 p.m., State Police responded to Spruce Ln. in Swatara Twp. for criminal trespass. Through investigation, it was determined that the Arrestee turned her vehicle around in the Victim’s driveway. The Victim had numerous “no trespass” signs posted along her driveway. The Victim gave the Arrestee numerous verbal warnings to stay off of the property in the past. The Arrestee had also been given a verbal warning to stay off of the Victim’s property approximately one month prior by State Police. An NTC was filed on the Arrestee through MDJ 52-3-03 for Criminal Trespass/Simple Trespasser. The Arrestee was Nancy Jones, a 57 year old Lebanon woman. The Victim was a 47 year old Lebanon woman.

Sobriety Checkpoint – The Jonestown State Police conducted a Sobriety Checkpoint on SR 72, north of Horst Rd. in Swatara Twp. The detail resulted in contact with approximately 400 vehicles, with two DUI arrests being made, three citations, and 37 warnings being issued.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 17, 2021 at 3:06 p.m., this crash occurred while traveling southbound on I 81. While traveling southbound on I 81, Operator 1, a 39 year old Dearborn, MI man, driving Unit 1, a 2003 Peterbilt 379, witnessed multiple vehicles crash approximately 100 yards ahead of him, which abruptly slowed/stopped traffic. While traffic was slowing/stopping in front of Unit 1, Unit 1 veered off of the roadway to avoid impact, rolled onto its driver’s side, and slid into the median along the left side of the roadway. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained possible injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion. Operator 1 was cited for Accidents Involving Overturned Vehicles.

West Lebanon Township

Retail Theft – Shantea Herrera, a 40 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Retail Theft after an incident that occurred at the Boscov’s in the Lebanon Valley Mall, after failing to pay for $584.00 worth of merchandise.
