LebTown is featuring a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
This week’s pet is Sophia, owned by Amy Kopecky.
Sophia is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu, which means “little lion.” Kopecky says she fell in love with the pup when she (Amy, not Sophia) was a junior in college.
“She was the last in her litter and with that little under bite who wouldnโt love her!” Amy exclaimed in an email to LebTown. She found her in Lancaster, she says, “and she has been my best buddy for almost 11 years.”
Sophia remains down to earth despite her success as a thespian. Amy explains: “Sophia stared in the 2014 production of The Wizard of Oz at the Lebanon Community Theatre and did an outstanding job as Toto.”
The little lion is “the best snuggler and loves to nap in her โpoofโ while I work,” Amy adds. “She is beyond spoiled and she knows she can get away with anything just by looking at me with her big brown eyes.”
Amy also has a 7-year-old Chihuahua-terrier mix named Buddy.
If you happen to see Sophia napping in her “poof,” be sure to say hi and congratulate her for being this weekโs Pet of the Week! (Better yet, let her sleep and dream about her days as a rising star โฆ offer your congratulations when she wakes!)
