Bethel Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 12, 2021 at 7:18 a.m., this reportable crash occurred on I 81 South at mile marker 95.5 in Bethel Twp. Unit 1, a silver 2001 Ford Focus, driven by Operator 1, a 58 year old Girardville man, was traveling south in the left lane of I 81. Unit 1 traversed off of the left shoulder of the roadway, overcorrected, and then traveled back across both lanes of travel. Initial impact occurred as Unit 1 crossed the right fog line into the right shoulder and struck the guide rail. Unit 1 came to final rest on the right shoulder, facing east. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by H&S Towing. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked.

Jackson Township

Theft – PSP Jonestown is investigating a theft that occurred at Harnish Production Machine. The theft occurred between Oct. 23, 2021 and Oct. 25, 2021. Anyone with information related to this theft is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194. The Victim was Harnish Production Machine in Jackson Twp.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 19, 2021 at 6:48 a.m., this single-vehicle hit-and-run crash occurred on the 400 block of Houtztown Rd. in Jackson Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2015 Volvo S60, driven by Operator 1, a 20 year old Lititz man, was traveling north on Houtztown Rd., north of its intersection with Stracksdam Rd. Unit 1 left the roadway and struck seven mailboxes. Unit 1 fled the scene of the crash. Unit 1 was later located north of where the incident occurred. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Drug Sale – On Oct. 20, 2021 at 10:47 a.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the 500 block of Houtztown Rd. for a report of a male slumped over the wheel of his vehicle. Upon troopers’ arrival, further signs of criminal activity were observed. This led to a consensual search of his vehicle. This search yielded numerous types of narcotics, packaging materials, and a firearm. All items located were consistent with the sale of narcotics. The Arrestee was then taken into custody and was transported to the Lebanon County Booking Center. The Arrestee was Robert Beaumont, a 25 year old Lebanon man. The vehicles involved included a Nissan Altima.

South Annville Township

Child Pornography – On Aug. 24, 2021 at 2:08 p.m., this incident occurred on the 900 block of Horseshoe Pk. In the commission of this crime, a file containing child pornography was disseminated through the UTorrent file sharing program. After further investigation into the IP address associated with the uploaded child pornography, the Arrestee was identified. On Oct. 22, 2021, a search warrant was executed at the above-listed location. Upon seizing the Arrestee’s personal computer, 10 files containing child pornography were found on the desktop. The Arrestee was then taken into custody and transported to PSP Jonestown. The following charges were prepared for the Arrestee: Child Pornography, Dissemination of Photo/Film of Child Sex Acts, and Criminal Use of Communication Facility. The Arrestee was transported to the Lebanon County Booking Center, where he was processed and later arraigned. Bail was set at $50,000. Unable to post bail, the Arrestee was remanded to the Lebanon County Prison. The Arrestee was Michael Rankin, a 34 year old Lebanon man.

Swatara Township

Corruption Of Minors – On Oct. 26, 2021 at 11:32 p.m., troopers responded to Cindy Dr. for a corruption of minors incident. Upon investigation, it was determined that an unknown Actor sent nude photographs and sexual content to a juvenile female. Troopers are investigating. The Victim was a 16 year old Swatara Twp. juvenile female.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 11, 2021 at 8:55 a.m., this reportable crash occurred on SR 72 South at its intersection with Jonestown Rd. in Union Twp. Unit 1, a white 2021 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by Operator 1, a 29 year old Jonestown woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 10 year old Jonestown male, Passenger 2, a 4 year old Jonestown male, Passenger 3, a 1 year old Jonestown male, and Passenger 4, a 4 year old Jonestown female, was traveling on Jonestown Rd. as Unit 2, a green 2001 Subaru Legacy, driven by Operator 2, a 67 year old Lykens man, accompanied by Passenger 5, a 65 year old Lykens woman, was traveling south in the right lane of SR 72. Unit 1 proceeded through a red light into the path of Unit 2. Initial impact occurred as the front left bumper of Unit 2 struck the front right bumper of Unit 1. After contact with Unit 1, Unit 2 traversed off of the roadway, coming to final rest in the parking lot of Turkey Hill. Unit 1 came to final rest in the right lane of SR 72 South, facing south. Unit 1 and Unit 2 were disabled from the crash and were towed from the scene by Porrini’s Towing. Operator 1, Passenger 1, Operator 2, and Passenger 5 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Passenger 2 and Passenger 4 were in booster seats at the time of the crash. Passenger 3 was in a child safety seat (rear-facing) at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash but was not transported. Passenger 1, Passenger 2, Passenger 3, and Passenger 4 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion to the Good Samaritan Hospital. Passenger 5 sustained injuries of unknown severity as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion to the Good Samaritan Hospital. Operator 1 was cited for Traffic-Control Signals.

Endangering Welfare Of Child – On Oct. 19, 2021 at 3:32 p.m., this incident occurred on Church Ln. as a 5 year old student of Jonestown Elementary was left unattended on a Northern Lebanon Area School District School Bus. D. B. Fisher was the bus company providing transportation services for Northern Lebanon Area School District at the time of the incident. The bus driver was charged with Leaving an Unattended Child in a Motor Vehicle. Charges were filed at Magisterial District Court 52-3-03. The Victim was a 5 year old Jonestown juvenile male. The Arrestee was Stephanie McAbee, a 36 year old Pottsville woman. The vehicles involved included a 2020 Blue Bird Body Co.
