Bethel Township

Indecent Exposure – On Oct. 27, 2021 sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 9:05 a.m., members of PSP Jonestown responded to School Dr. in Bethel Twp. for a report of indecent exposure involving several juveniles. This investigation remains open.

Drug Possession – On Nov. 3, 2021 at 8:39 a.m., this incident occurred on Camp Strause Rd. In the commission of this crime, the Suspect was in possession of a controlled substance.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 31, 2021 at 9:09 p.m., this crash occurred on the 00 block of North Center St. in Bethel Twp. Unit 2, a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was legally parked on the right shoulder of North Center St. Unit 1, an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 1, backed out of a parking stall in a parking lot next to Unit 2. Unit 1 backed over the sidewalk and struck Unit 2 on the right front fender. Unit 1 then fled the scene south on North Center St. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. It is unknown whether Operator 1 was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash. It is unknown whether and to what extent Operator 1 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash.

Cornwall Borough

Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 3, 2021 at 7:45 p.m., this crash occurred at SR 322 and South Mountain Rd. Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, an Akron man, was traveling west on SR 322 when he struck a deer. Unit 1 was towed from the scene.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 27, 2021 at approximately 6:15 p.m., this reportable motorcycle crash occurred on SR 501 in the area of Tomsue St. in Heidelberg Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2016 Honda CBR, driven by Operator 1, an 18 year old Newmanstown man, was traveling south on SR 501. Operator 1 was attempting a wheelie on the motorcycle, where he was unsuccessful. Unit 1 rolled onto the right side, having initial impact with the roadway. Operator 1 was wearing his motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Schaefferstown EMS to the Lancaster General Hospital. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Myerstown Borough

Residential Burglary – State Police responded to West Main Ave. in Myerstown Boro. for a report of a burglary. Through investigation, it was determined that an unknown Actor(s) cut a lock off of a garage “man door” sometime between Oct. 28, 2021 at approximately 12:00 p.m. and Oct. 28, 2021 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Once inside the garage, the unknown Actor(s) proceeded to remove numerous tools. The unknown Actor(s) then fled the scene by unknown means in an unknown direction of travel. Investigation is ongoing. The Victim was a 42 year old Myerstown man. The stolen property included Matco Matco Metric And Standard Wrenches, valued at $2,000.00, S Tool Snap-On FU Series Swivel Casts Labeled “LB,” valued at $3,000.00, Hausfeld Air Compressor, valued at $100.00, Unknown Brand Snow Blower, valued at $100.00, and “Army Style” Powerwheels Jeep, valued at $100.00.

North Lebanon Township

Indecent Exposure – Shawn Carpenter, a 35 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Indecent Exposure after multiple incidents at the Wal-Mart gas station, located at 1375 East Lehman St. These incidents occurred between Nov. 23, 2020 and Jan. 9, 2021.

North Londonderry Township

Drug Possession, Vehicle Equipment Violation – On July 23, 2021 at 10:45 p.m., this incident occurred on the 1100 block of West Main St. in North Londonderry Twp. North Londonderry Twp. Police have charged Justin Meily, a 35 year old Lebanon resident, with Possession of a Designer Drug, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Vehicle Equipment Violation. The charges stem from a traffic stop that was conducted at the above-listed date, time, and location.

South Londonderry Township

Smash And Grab – On Nov. 2, 2021 sometime between 3:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., this incident occurred on the Rail Trail lot on Mount Wilson Rd. at Mount Gretna Rd. Police are investigating a Smash and Grab that occurred at the trailhead at the above-listed date, time, and location. Two vehicles had their windows broken out, and items were taken from inside of the vehicles. If anyone has any information, they are asked to call the South Londonderry Twp. Police at 717-838-1376.

Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 2, 2021 at 4:02 p.m., Unit 1, a Buick SUV, driven by Operator 1, a 71 year old Annville woman, proceeded from the stop sign on Hinkle Rd. at South Forge Rd. and into the path of Unit 2, a Mazda sedan, driven by Operator 2, a 44 year old Harrisburg woman. Operator 2 had the right of way at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. South Londonderry Twp. Police, Campbelltown Fire and Fire Police, and First Aid and Safety Patrol assisted on scene. Operator 1 was cited for Duties at a Stop Sign.

Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 3, 2021 at 11:19 a.m., police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of Horseshoe Pike and North Thistledown Dr. Unit 1, a Toyota Highlander, driven by Operator 1, collided with Unit 2, a Toyota Prius, driven by Operator 2, causing injury to both Operators. Campbelltown Fire and Fire Police assisted on scene. University EMS transported both patients. The two Operators were a 78 year old Palmyra woman and a 43 year old Palmyra woman.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 23, 2021 at 7:22 a.m., this three-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 1, was traveling in the left lane of I 78 Westbound. Unit 2, a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Operator 2, a 23 year old Brooklyn, NY man, was traveling in the left lane of I 78 Westbound. Unit 3, a 2012 Dodge Charger (INCL Shelby), driven by Operator 3, a 50 year old Myerstown man, was traveling in the left lane of I 78 Westbound. Unit 3 made a sudden stop/slowing of the vehicle and was rear-ended by the unknown Unit 1. This caused Unit 3 to lose control and strike Unit 2 at its 5 o’clock position. This caused Unit 2 to spin clockwise and strike Unit 3 with its 1 o’clock position, causing additional damage to Unit 3’s 12 o’clock position, and then come to final rest upon both the left and right lanes, facing north. Unit 3 spun clockwise and came to final rest on the right shoulder, facing east. It is unknown whether Operator 1 was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 2 and Operator 3 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. It is unknown whether and to what extent Operator 1 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2 and Operator 3 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2 was cited for Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked.

Union Township

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – State Police responded to Hemlock Hill Ln. for criminal mischief. Through investigation, it was determined that an unknown individual(s) smashed the Victim’s mailbox sometime between Nov. 3, 2021 at approximately 7:15 a.m. and Nov. 3, 2021 at approximately 8:30 a.m. The unknown individual(s) then fled the scene by unknown means in an unknown direction of travel. The Victim was a 27 year old Jonestown man. The damaged property included a Black Mailbox, valued at $25.00.

West Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 1, 2021 at 8:37 a.m., this crash occurred on Horseshoe Pike, west of Starner Rd. Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 21 year old Manheim woman, was traveling west on Horseshoe Pike, when she traveled off of the road, striking the guardrail. Unit 1 was towed from the scene.

West Lebanon Township

DUI – Timothy Copenhaver, a 40 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Driving Under the Influence after a vehicle accident that occurred on Sept. 27, 2021. Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, Copenhaver, drove into a Met-Ed pole at Popeye’s.
