Editor’s Note: In 2021, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

As today began, we knew we had a busy schedule. With back-to-back baby showers and the drive time to each, we wanted a lighter fare breakfast this morning.

We decided not to venture too far from our house and visit The Timeless Cafe. If you participated in the Java Journey, you may have stopped here and grabbed a special drink.

Our meal today was a 9 o’clock ($5.50), 11 o’clock ($6), a peppermint latte with whipped cream ($5.25), and a very berry iced tea ($2).

The 9 o’clock was honey ham, egg, and aged cheddar on an English muffin. The sandwich itself was a handful. The saltiness of the ham made it enjoyable. I would have liked to see some sort of sauce, possibly a hot sauce, to take this to the next level. For today, ketchup worked.

The 9 o’clock.

The 11 o’clock was hardwood smoked bacon, egg, hash browns, and aged cheddar in a tomato tortilla wrap. This wrap came cut in half, which helped me to save some for later. There are plenty of ingredients inside, but the hash browns could have used some seasoning. The bacon was not overpowering and allowed me to taste everything within the wrap. The second half was great for leftovers.

The 11 o’clock.

For our drinks today, the peppermint latte gets an A+ for presentation. And yes, the taste does match. Even so much so that I had to stop in and get another one on my business trip to West Chester two days later.

A peppermint latte.

Our second drink was the very berry iced tea and, as the name implies, it was very, it was berry, and it was delectable.

A very berry iced tea.

Our take: The Timeless Cafe offers a quaint coffeehouse feel while a simplistic and affordable food menu. The food is good and the coffee fantastic. You should find the time to make a stop at Timeless. We do not think you will be disappointed.
